Top bloke, saying all the right things! Can tell he's truly gutted about not being able to help us.

On another note I hear Forssell is available on a free. He LOVES the club, and I'm sure he'd happily sit back on a pay as you play and huge goal bonus!

He'll always be a Blues legend.

Shame we never saw him at his best.

Nice to see him take the very opposite of the Hleb approach (sit on your bottom and take constant swipes at the club thru the media).

Kind words.

I really wished we could have seen more of him, he's the most talented striker we've had at the club since Forssell.

Could have kept us up, it was obvious that he was committed to keeping us up more than Hleb and Bentley.

has etched himself on the memories of every Blues fan alive today.

he along with all the other Carling Cup run heroes has finally given us something to celebrate, the irony of most succesful season for 50 years at the same time getting relegated is just inconvenient.

Thanks Oba from all that love the blues..........KRO

"Diminutive"? Memo to self, never pick a fight with a "large" Nigerian if Obafemi Martins is a "diminutive Nigerian"

A fully fit Martins, playing regularly, would have kept us up - potentially the best forward here since Forssell.

It's such a shame we didn't get to see more of him in a blue shirt. Most of the people moaning about the lack of a proven goal scorer at the club seem to forget that Martins was exactly that and would have had a huge impact if he had stayed fit.

I agree. Efforts were made to bolster the attack last Summer and in Jan - it's just a pity they all ended up crocked.

He can go back to Rubin for a year... we can hopefully get promoted, and he can come back to us fully fit this time next year... **thumbup
