Colin Tattum reports in tonight's evening mail that Peter Pannu on behalf of Carson Yeung 'plans to delve into every aspect of Blues' failed Premier League campign, on and off the field, to ascertain whether any significant changes need to be made.'

The answer to that it is obvious on the back of a relegation season surely but the process might be painful for Big Ech! Just what qualifies Peter Pannu to delve into playing side issues and is his approach going to support or unsettle the manager?

No argument that questions need to be asked and more importantly answered but the suspicion I have is that the intention will be to turn the heat on the manager in the hope that he will walk saving the owners the expense of having to pay him off!

Paranoid or what?

Let your heart beat strong and all that. :ph43r:

Would it not be the Chairman's responsibility to investigate the reasons we went down. I think Pannu is perfectly right in looking at the on and off the field issues, however I do think he needs an advisor who has football experience to give him guidance on how to run a football club.

It's a shame Dunsford was never replaced, he'd have been the ideal candidate to look at the footballing issues. I like our board, I really do, but I'd feel a little safer if we had someone on the board with a little more footballing knowledge.

I think your third paragraph is the telling one here - otherwise he should have said the first paragraph BEFORE he stated that 'Eck's job was safe.

Which is it - am I really that cynical, or has Pannu got it wrong again ?

A pity the board didn't do a bit of delving after each game. The fans could see what was going wrong so why couldn't they?
