Season Ticket Renewal; Do they really want my money?

I have just tried on-line to renew my season ticket and three members of my family. Easy for me but to include my three family has proved beyond my computer skills. Why is it so difficult?

Tried to telephone the ticket office. Had to listen to a lengthy automated response and then all operatives were engaged and I was put into a queue. All this at my expense as I had to pay for the call at their end and mine.

I though after relegation that they would bite my hand off. I just wonder why they make it so hard.

So its their fault that they are busy?

A little patience please. Maybe good news that they are busy selling ST's.

Don't forget there will be big redundancies at BCFC over the next few weeks. Some of the staff manning the ticket office may be working their notice, give them a break.

Had a similar problem with my online account, this is what I did to resolve it:

I had problems adding my Dad (OAP) and my Son to my account. I searched for them using their membership numbers and found them both, I then added them to "my network", but still didn't have the right permission to "manage" their account.

I clicked on the link to upgrade my priviledge to manage them and it said it had emailed them both so they could confirm this request. Now here's the thing, they both don't have an email account associated with their membership number (my Dad is old and my son is young, they don't have email addresses).

This is what I has to do:
1. create them both a hotmail address
2. create an online ticketing account at BCFC using this link:
http://www.eticketing.co.uk/bcfc/activateaccount.aspx
3. create the above account using the email addresses you used for each person
4. Now login as yourself again, add your family members to your "network", upgrade their status to manage them, the system will send them both an email (to the addresses you created earlier)
5. Login to their hotmail accounts and click on the link that is sent to each one to confirm that they want their accout managed by you, it will take you to the BCFC ticket login page so you then have to login with their new BCFC ticket accounts (using their new email addresses!) then follow the instruction to 'confirm'. Do for each person.
6. Now login as yourself to your BCFC ticket account and you can now manage their accounts and buy tickets, renew ST on their behalf.

I had a furher problem where the system didn't recognise my son as an under 16 so it wanted full price, I had to phone the ticket office and they changed his status to under 16 (and the 2UP package). This change didn't change on my account straight away, probably took about an hour.

Now this was really ball aching to do, but I was determined to get them on my account so I can easily buy tickets in the future, especially if we get to a Cup Final as this saved me a day queueing this year!

If this seems too much effort, then just keep calling the ticket office, they can do the renewals straight away, I've always found them very helpful.

I have no beef with the ticket office staff it was the on-line ticket system I was complaining about.

It will be seen above the machinations that others have had with the same problem as me. I still maintain the online ticket system needs an overhaul.

The good news is that I have now ordered my season ticket renewals through the ticket office. Once in contact efficiency personified. Well done the ticket office staff.

The even better news was that no-one asked for any of the information or e-mail confirmation required online. Pause for thought admin?
