They've probably just been to one game all season. And probably came to Blues when we played like Everton at home or something. |

What a load of rubbish. Depends solely on the game, for example our cup games against the two claret and blues would have been ridiculously loud, whereas our home game against wigan would have been very quiet. Just talk sport creating a bit of a stir. |

Well another thread that makes me laugh. Week after week after week there are loads on here moaning about the lack of atmosphere - and let's be honest this has been the case for yonks. Negative football does not get the juices going. So why are we slamming the list because we are towards the bottom? St Andrews is nothing like the 1999,2000,2001 play-off days and nothing like the 2002,2003,2004 early Bruce days. |

Because teams like Wigan, blackburn, arsenal etc are above us. Also WBA and Wolves are below us, I'm pretty sure their fans are louder than that. Especiailly WBA if you are saying better standard of footy brings a better atmosphere. All football grounds are the same. They can be blisteringly loud or silent. Many factors for it but I'm not surprised you take it at face value, you would take anything that portrays this club in a negative light and run with it. |

....that is not right. It just so happens that Blues are in a bad way and there are lots of negativity that results from it - including silly things like this noise table. I just simply try to point out to the bluespecs the reality. Don't you agree blueblood that the atmosphere has become near non-existent. Probably a fewon here are still in that "noisiest fans in the country" era of 1999-2004.........and boy we were noisy. The Watford play-off is the game that was the noisiest I can remember, even noisier than the 52,500 sell-outs in the late 60's early 70's. |

the boring football does not get the fans aroused.......in fact it results in a lot of fans not going. |

The argument isn't about has the atmosphere declined in recent years, of course it has, and every set of fans will say the same about their stadium. It is just the way that football in general has gone in recent years. I am talking about the table ranking fans in order of loudness. It isn't conclusive evidence at all but you use it to talk down the club and its fans as though it is fact. not considering the limitations of such a 'survey'. I'm right and you're wrong, you can reply to me if you like but I've said all I need to on this matter now and I'm not interested in your opinion on it. Have a good day. As for Mallam, he is our resident under cover claret so I won't bother replying to that waster. |

You mean the days when we were on the cusp and the early years of our Premiership adventure when there was little expectation and just a sense of hope and joy amongst fans. Well colour me flipping shocked. In other shocking news, water is still wet. |

I'm sorry but if you have travelled regularly away you would see that all grounds are pretty much the same. Almost all home support is terrible, as a result of souless all seater stadiums, and ejections of fans who stand and sing. The Talksport survey there measured decibels - assuming they were measuring the loudest decibels then stadiums with more people would be naturally louder (eg when they score a goal - usually the loudest cheer at a ground). Add to that - grounds that allow large aways supports (Wigan, Old Trafford for example) - would have a pocket of very noisy fans aswell. Slightly more accurate than decibels would be decibels per person - as one person does below that survey - that shows you how loud the crowd is relative to how many people are there and so how passionate they are. More people = more decibels but not necessarily prolonged singing. As I say though, every home support in the country has got quieter thanks to all seater stadiums meaning those who want to sing cant all group together. Im sure there would be several thousand at St Andrews who would sing like an away support if they were all grouped together, but everyone is spaced out by moaners and people who go just to watch the game. |
