Just got this tweeted to me: Blues goalkeeper Colin Doyle has signed a one-year extension option keeping the Irishman at the club until the summer of 2012. #BCFC Now its it may be me, but reading between the lines they are keeping options open to see if Foster stays and Taylor makes a comeback. All Doyle has done is warm the bench, so its odd that he would choose to so this if there was not serious chances of him actually playing 1st team footy |

I say he will still be backup next season whether Foster goes or stays. I imagine the club are covering themseleves in case Foster does leave, but really this indicates nothing. At the moment we need a backup keeper with Taylor too old and Butland too young and inexperienced. I say a big reason that Doyle is staying is that his family is settled in the area. |

with alot of players going think its important we dont just get rid of players for the sake of it, every club needs a back up keeper so no point getting rid of doyle to just try and replace him. |

Hopefully as back up, even If Foster goes, we need someone better than him. He scares the life out of me In goal. Against Coventry In the cup he had an absalute nightmare! |

He had a good game against Wolves and after that it was all down hill. |

Actually, his good form continued all the way to the end of the season, and he was one of the reasons that we managed to hold on to the second place spot. It earned him a start against Chelsea first game in the Prem the following season. It was all down hill after that game, though. |
