Bored one night and decided to take it upon myself to use the editor program that comes with Football Manager 2011.

I didn't go into much detail but I did all the promotions/relegations from the Prem to League 2, (just picked one of the two teams in each of the play-off finals at random to get promoted) so obviously this meant sending Blues down to the Championship.

I saddled them with £50million debt trying to make it as realistic as possible as we had no debt on the game before.

I edited it so the board gave me £3million to spend on transfer fees and £250k per week to spend on wages. The wage bill stood at around £500k a week, so had to be essentially halved, and any more money I wanted to spend on players, I would have to generate through sales.

I had the squad that we went down with, so I got to work immediately:

OUTS:

Zigic £4million (Newcastle)
Johnson £5million (Besiktas)
Carr £1million (QPR)
Ferguson £2.5million (QPR)
Taylor £0 (Derby)
Parnaby £0 (Leeds)
Phillips £0 (Huddersfield)
Bowyer £0 (QPR)
Larsson £0 (Sunderland)
Jiranek £0 (Al-Ittihad)
Bent £0 (Southampton)

Hleb (Loan ended)
Derbyshire (Loan ended)
Martins (Loan ended)
Bentley (Loan ended)

This generated £12.5million for me so I had a kitty of £15.5million to re-build the squad. Not to mention the wage bill was dramatically reduced.

INS:

Shane Long £4.5million (Reading)
Danny Graham £2million (Watford)
Nathaniel Clyne £2.5million (Crystal Palace)
Jeffrey Bruma Loan (Fee of £425k - Chelsea)
Daniel Ayala Loan (Fee of £300k - Liverpool)

In total I spent £9.25million, and even though it may not appear that I bought in enough players to cover for those that had left, I felt I had an adequate enough squad to take Blues up. I also had Michel back from his loan spell, so that was basically a new signing in itself.

My starting 11 for my first game in charge (a 0-0 draw with West Ham) was:

Foster (GK)

Clyne (RB)
Dann (CB)
Davies (CB)
Ridgewell (LB) ©

Redmond (RM)
Gardner (CM)
Michel (CM)
Beausejour (LM)

Jerome (ST)
Long (ST)

Subs:

Butland
Murphy
Ayala
McFadden
Fahey
Mutch
Graham

Over the course of the season I used other players, (some bought in from the Under 18's/Reserves), this is the list of players who made up my squad.

Colin Doyle
Jeffrey Bruma
Ashley Sammons
Brice Ntambwe
James O'Shea
Akwasi Asante

It turned out to be a great season, I clinched 2nd place in the Championship (just behind West Ham) finishing with over 100 points and over a 100 goals scored. Also I only lost three times all season.

Jerome scored 24 goals and Shane Long got 26, Gardner weighed in with 24 assists and other notable contributions were 8 goals each from Beausejour and Redmond. I also somehow managed to win the Carling Cup, beating Man Utd on penalties. I beat Man City, Newcastle and Wolves in the semi-finals along the way.

I had turned Blues into a free scoring, quick, technical, young side, with players from the academy making big contributions. Not to mention putting another Carling Cup in the trophy cabinet along the way.

So now I have the challenge of staying in the Premier League and trying to do well in the Europa League...

Is it possible to upload the database?

Would love that!

Did you edit players like Redmond to make him better?

What tactics?

I can't wait for 2012 now, trying to gain promotion is one of the best things to do on the game then trying to stay up.

We also get to manager Blues in Europe which will be good. :D

Hey spike, I used your edit and edited it a bit myself to increase Gardner's shooting, Redmond, Asante and Mutch's ability and changed the funds to add debt etc, so what have I done so far?

Well, I sold Roger Johnson to Man City, sold Doyle to spurs and offloaded a bunch of the younger players, and brought in,

Macheda on loan, who is currently on 7 in 6!
Brought back the Forsse! Scored 2 in his first two starts.
Signed Ayala on loan, as back up for centre back.
Signed Clyne for £2m.

And that's all for now!

I've given them £50m, with the potential revenue we can receive with Foster/Dann/Johnson and parachute payment. All I need to do is transfer players when their official done.

But it will be on the later update I post.
