Thanks mate.

I was getting a bit paranoid - I couldn't find the source at all.

Still paranoid :boohoo:

They are 7 hours ahead of us.

HOW is the "quote" on the villa blog so close in real time to the posting on"The Standard" ? - your link. It is word for word.
It's almost instananeous.

That is a remarkable achievement imo of research and blogging.

It took "Often Partisan" hours to scour and post stuff, and it was more substantial.
It's taken dumbheads like me even more hours to find any trace.

But you have **thumbup

And thanks mate. You have shown that the ref you've linked has come almost instantly to a villa blogger.

Is he General Doolittle ?

(Reuters) - Trading in shares of Birmingham International Holdings Ltd , a professional football operator and entertainment services provider, was suspended on Thursday pending a statement, according to the Hong Kong bourse.

It gave no further details.

Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung, who is also the chairman of Birmingham International, was being questioned by Hong Kong police on Wednesday in relation to "criminal investigations", the English Championship (second division) club said in a statement. (Reporting by Donny Kwok; Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)

An update from the site that broke the story...............

http://www.oftenpartisan.co.uk/archives/19...ung-update.html

Unbelievable.

OP didn't "break it".

That was my point in another thread.

It came within hours of the incident, on a villa blog.

Often Partisan's blog came at 11.30pm our time.

The villa blog came hours earlier -

AND

It was not referenced.
I'm still searching for his info. His "quote"

If this guy is that quick, we need to follow him

:LMAO:

I think it broke about 5ish according to the Twitter from that site, but not sure.

Yes **thumbup
The news broke in the UK about 4-5 pm.

But I was saying by the time our best researchers found stuff and posted, was5-6 hours later.

11.30 PM in OP's case.

But :boohoo:

Hours earlier an unreferenced source appeared on a villa blog from a paper:
The Standard. ( A Hong Kong free Newspaper).

In another thread, someone has actually referenced it.

When you go back into the details and timings, you will find that "The Standards" report (word for word with the villa blog)----came within an hour of each other.

Now is this research ? :ph43r:

What is worse... please, someone else try getting "The Standard" up on link!

I've tried and it times out. Most times.Got it eventually.

The paper exists, it is indexed etc,
But it has taken me over 2 hours to get onto it!

Yet an article they allegedly "printed/ posted" ended up on a villa blog almost immediately.

Call me Psycho - I ain't bothered, I just think this is strange.

Their is nothing on their website 8 hours later, about Blues or Carson - but a word-for-word quote ( which I believe is true) is on a villa blog instantly.
Now if they didn't put it on the internet????
How come a villa blogger got it? 8 hours ago???

(And yes, they have stuff online within the last few minutes/hours/days). Just takes forever to get on their site.

That is normal. In a civilised country.

When an owner or major shareholder, is "arrested" or "helping the police" as Peter calls it :)

His companies, however many -however interlocked from Hong Kong to the Caymans - they have all got to have trading stopped.

That is to protect investors
and also to protect the company in case the charges are false or unproven.
Investors can't bail out - the company retains the status quo as before the charges.(In theory if a plc).

It's called Enron law now :D

Whatever Carson did or did not do - he will relinquesh his stake in blues - imo.
At an appropriate time.
Defend himself, but not wish to come back to Blues.
That is my take.

Don't forget!

Everything Carson is accused of, happened years before he employed Pannu / Yu /Vico/Duddhead etc.

YEARS before he had anything to do with Blues.

Quote from often partisan....

Sources allege that over three months ago local banks became suspicious of large transactions flowing into and out of Carson’s bank account, each involving tens of millions of dollars of cash. Police have been tracing these deals and have come to an amount of HK$400million (£32million) that has come from unknown sources over the past few years.

Prior:

What that means in non-journalise, is that over 3 months ago, Banks became suspicous/concerned about the inflow and outflow on Carson's Bank accounts over the past few years.

3 months ago they raised concerns about Carson's dealings over the past few years.

These concerns were not involving Birmingham, but involving land transactions. Years before.

That is where their concerns lay.
Money was allegedly coming in and flowing out as Carson wheeled and dealed before he became involved with Birmingham.

The Banks only reported their concern in the last 3 months. That concern was about years earlier.

Carson may be an Arthur Daley / Delboy character. Out of his depth say.

But he has been 100% Blues, and improved Wast Hills, the Academy, allowed Mcleish to blow millions on Montgomery 'certs' and has improved and adressed every complaint about St Andrews. From hot water to balti pies.

Carson has done more for Blues fans than any other owner.

Don't let us forget that.

Please.

I've been saying the same thing for a while mate, just pointing out bits of info from other sources......but saying that this is just explosive, a massive story, lets just hope that as allegedly suggested in reports that assets are not frozen.

"Yeung ... appeared in court on Thursday wearing a blazer sporting Birmingham City’s logo."

That's according to a report I've just read. But I've seen a picture of him arriving in a police van and the logo on his blazer is partially covered by his seatbelt. It doesn't look like our logo though.

They can't be.

All the info we have is that the "allegations" are based on stuff years ago, when Delboy was trying to be a wannabe.

With BIH it has no affect. It has no relevance. Not now **thumbup

With Grandtop ( the buying agency that Bluebird is obsesed with) it might be, but they are history, approved and disgarded by the HKE. A dead company. So they can't freeze those assets.
Neither can they freeze BIH because they are a "clean" new company, floated, voted and paid for in the open.

No connection whatever with Carson's land deals of 4-5 years ago.

However Carson raised money in years past is the issue. Whether he invested "ill-gotten" gains in Enron, Villa or Blues or BT is beside the point.
That is clean dosh. They can no more suspend BT on the Stock Exchange than they can Blues.

Blues are OK.

Very wealthy people are on our board, who won't want to lose their pocket money will they ? Worst scenario - new chairman **thumbup

Pannu has done a "shop window" exercise for the last 2 months, so he will undoubtedly be kept on. :D Which I hope.

This is talking like Carson is a gonner isn't it?

This is the result of 18 months of anti-blues rubbish. It Never comes true and is never proven. But you half-accept it don't you? So the shock isn't terminal.

Unless you still go to school :LMAO:

It actually shows how much he is a "non-celebrity".

If he was a dynamo, big wheel, the pappa's wouldn't have got within a mile of him.

He is just an intermediate 'wannabe' player, who raises dosh, begs loans and somewhere in the past, came a cropper.

Allegedly.

If he was a big wheel money launderer, we wouldn't see a snap of him with a Community Police Officer alongside him. :D However old he/she is.

He would go in and out of the police station as easilly as Jeffrey Archer. No pics.

Yet another strange occurence.
