He will be on the same as he was with us probably and have his contract loaded with bonuses if they have any sense. Wolves are well run just like Stoke and everton and they cut the cloth accordingly...

Shame we didn't run things the same!!

We had McLeish and Montgomery didn't we ?

We had forum members screaming at- and abusing the board for not tying Mcleish down to a new contract.

I wonder which forum members abused the board for not securing Alex to a contract earlier---- and now abuse the board for keeping Alex on?

:LMAO:

I hope it isn't a sin to say this, but Roger Johnson was my least favourite Blues player.
Brave - yes.
Fit - Yes
Arrogant - YES
Skillfull - No
Passing - Weak
Working out of defence - Non Existant
Hoofing away - Expert
The absence of Dann exposed his limitations.

I hope that his Wolve's deal goes through. Really.

Even for £1 million I'd be happy just to get rid of him, out of the dressing room, out of the team off our wage bill and out of Blues.
As other commentators have said, retaining RJ could be like keeping a venomous snake in your dressing room.

Same as Barry unfortunately.

RJ's loyalty is to himself and his self-image.

Barry's main loyalty is to Alex, imo , more than himself - which is understandable, but he was Alex's 'presence' in the dressing room and that must change.
It has to.

I never slag Blues' players, even though I feel let down, I will defend them.

With Roger now 99.99% going, I can feel OK with saying that I never liked him, never appreciated him and thought that Scott Dann made him look better than he was. There ! -- said it. Will go and do my rosary now.

:LMAO:

I have to be honest I wanted him tied down. But I'll admit he let me down in the end. KRO!!!!

Personally. Wish him well, gave his all and a great player for us. He deserves to be playing in the prem and has handled himself well. Surprised by his destination but no doubt wants to stay local.

Can't blame people for leaving at the moment anyway given how things seem to be going with the club...

I don't get all of this calling any player that leaves us a judas to be honest.

Did anyone actually expect any of our big players to stay after relegation? I know I didn't, and still don't.

I suppose Scott Dann and Ben Foster will be labelled "Judas'" when they leave also?

The only person I would say actually deserves to be labeled 'Judas' Is McLeish. He relegated us (for the second time) but was still backed by the owners and allowed to continue managing us for another year, but no that was not good enough for him, he then shafted the club and the fans to take up a position at our arch rivals!

Our top players were always going to leave after relegation, It was a given, I can't understand anyone who does not grasp that concept.

As far as I'm concerned he gave his all when playing for us and that is all you can ask of any player. We got two years service and a small profit out of him and if you say that about all of our guys we'd be in a better position than one we currently occupy.

True, but it's just is a little hard to grasp when i have to edit the cup winning team on my screen saver, i have hardly anyone left on it, i think it sums up players when they leave there fans and club in the lurch, i would have accepted it more if it was to a bigger club at least

To my mind the only player justified in leaving is Ben Foster as its down to his goalkeeping that we were able to survive untill that last 5 miutes that changed our world.
Maybe Mc Judas`s team selections played a part but at the end of the day it was a lack of effort from the players that saw us relegated THEREFORE they should have all stayed and made the effort to get us back up.
Yes there were injuries and suspensions but no excuses whatever team went out there they were capable of better than what they gave.

If they want to play in the premiership they still would have been if only they had put the effort in so any that do go deserve everything thats thrown at them.

Tend to agree with this AMc and Gardner could have handled the situation a lot better.

I do understand players leaving and wanting to stay in the prem, but they must realise that most of them had a big part to play in us going down , so they should use some humility, all apart from Foster, Dann and maybe Fergie are average prem players at the very best, these are not super stars.

But then like all the other teams in the prem, the players have lost touch with reality and the peoplel who love them , the biggest shame from the sky era.

But this is why some of use 'older' gents may feel a closer conection with people like Adam Rooney and Gomis, players who have had to bum around for £100 a week and getting their big break now.

Johnson I forget how many times you drove past kids waiting for a signature, you had a great season and half for us and cup final also, but after that game you was nothing short of championship quality.

:LMAO:

Pretty much spot on summary :applause:

Out of the two main central defenders from the successful 2009/10 campaign, Dann was the stronger of the two so he was clearly missed in the 2nd half of last season while RJ's form and confidence clearly dipped

We have Curtis Davies as well who is a far superior defender to Roger Johnson

Wolves will have a good defender in Johnson if they buy Dann.

In fairness IMO he was super and i wish him all the best.

All the best to him, I have no problems with RJ going, gave us some great service and he always gave us 100%.
Not the best defender in the league but one who is brave and a no nonsense type.

Was just curoius about him going to what IMO is going to be a relegation battling club.

Good luck Rog and thanks for the memories. Loved your equaliser against West Ham in the semi at home. That was my best match ever at St Andys for football, passion and atmosphere. Thanks for the brave performance at Wembley as well.

I think the reason is that no one else came in for him. As others have said he is not as good as he thinks he is. He and Dann formed a good partnership but when Dann was injured I think he struggled.

He gave us two years of good service and no one can deny his bravery, he did put his body on the line but he was not particularly skilful and his passing out of defence was woeful.

He's a good buy for Wolves but I fear he may have joined a club who will again be battling relegation next season. I do however wish him well.

He was part of the defence that won us the cup & battled like a warrior on it.
He deserves to play in the premier league & you will not be hearing sour grapes from me.
Signing Curtis Davies when we did is a bonus & in Caldwell we have a quality championship centre half. Dann has not gone yet so all in all the business we have done so far has been good.
