Personally I have had enough of all this doom and gloom circulating around the club!

there has been 1 constant throughout all of this and it has been the FANS!

so lets forget about who is being sold, tapped up, arrested, sacked etc and get behind our club and make st andrews a fortress again where away teams feel intimidated every minute of every game.

The fans can be the ones who make the players want to play at a club like ours due to the atmosphere every week.

I'm confident Hughton's footballing philosophy will bring the fans back to St.Andrews in their droves. I feel the most positive about the club that I have felt in years.

:LMAO:

Yes i agree

OLD SKOOL Blues in every way

No money and complete and utter chaos off the field , I had a great time during those dark days off the pitch

Just worries me that now i am getting older and take my lad i see football thru more sober eyes and it has to be said the football back then was complete and utter dross

The key reasons why we'll see more fans flocking to St.Andrews...

1) Chris Hughton. Great man, great manager. At Newcastle in the Championship, he played a 4-4-2 formation 44 times, 4-4-1-1 formation 5 times and 4-5-1 just twice. He has the right footballing philosophy - to entertain the fans!

2) European excitement.

3) Bluenose solidarity. If people believe the club is in the ****, we'll rally round and put in our fantastic support.

4) Success! Winning more games in the Championship brings the feel good factor.

Anyone want to add to the list?

1) HUGHTON - We shall see what he has to work with come the seasons start

2) EUROPE ? likely to last 2 games - this is a realistic view

3) EXCELLENT point

4) WINNING in the champ is KEY - I really hope we have enough players of the quality needed to win games in the championship as if we dont the core blues fans will shring to nearer 15k , remeber 9th in the premier league was not good enough for some

I can only speak for myself but it wasn't 9th that wasn't good enough for me. It was the terrible football - can you remember we played relegated Hull at home last but one home game and still played 4-5-1.

No, it wasn't 9th place it was McLeish and his dire football.

It's all changed now. Onwards and upwards. No doom and gloom just happiness we have football back at St Andrews.

Trust me winning games is the key IF we can get something going then the atmosphere will be great -

I just worry we may not be strong come the start of the season

Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
And dreamed of all the great things we would do

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were blues and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Then the premier years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If by chance I'd see you in the tavern
We'd smile at one another and we'd say

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were blues and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Just tonight I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be

In the glass I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely bluenose really me

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were blues and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...

Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

I'm hopeful the St. Andrews faithful will make a show of solidarity next season, lets bring back the camaraderie.
