How stupid is this... When all these mercanaries leave why have we no chance of promotion? I bet my house that we get promoted this season no problem.
I will have a bet with you mate **thumbup how do you think we can possibly even have a sniff of promotion if the bulk of our best players go  you honestly think a team can get back up by signing freebies that other clubs don't want any more....if we do not spend the money we get from this simmers transfers we have a snowballs in hell chance of finishing top half never mind promotion.
You do realise that going on a Bosman doesn't mean that your team doesn't want you. I will point you to Sebastian Larson, did we not want him? In the most case a Bosman player has turned down a contract offer from his current employer. Use that thing between your ears will you.
Burke wanted more at Cardiff and they told him to shove it, the sex offender is not half the player of Jerome who will be off, any decent player on a Bosman will be off to a prem side. Use that thing between your ears will you, freebies will not get a side promoted.
:LMAO:
So Burke was wanted by his club but he didn't agree to the contract they offered? Isn't that what I said.
And King scores goals, he will therefore be more valuable to our promotion campaign than Cam although I don't see what your comparison has to do with your Bosmans are rubbish argument. Player of the season at Cov and fans/ manager wanted him to stay again contrary to what you think of Bosmans.
This is the case for many Bosmans. So in short, you are wrong. Good day to you

Still slagging off our new players before you've seen them play? Burke didn't want to renew his contract at Cardiff, the same as Seb here, they wanted to keep him but they was always the nearly team, they always pushed for promotion but fell away. Burke wants to play In the Prem like every player, so he moved to a bigger club. King will score goals In this division, he Is a goalscorer something that Jerome Isn't. King does exactly what he's paid to do, stick the ball In the back of the net, something we've been missing for a good few years. Gomis although I've never heard of him personally I'll give him a chance before I write him off. From what I've heard though he will add some bite to the middle of the park, and don't often lose the ball, which Is always a good thing. Rooney scored goals for fun In Scotland, although not the highest standards but again he obviously knows where the net Is, could turn out to be a great signing. All for the total of £0! Get behind them FGS!
Kez, you've really got to change that signature image!

Whoever it is we can only give them a chance, don't write players off before they even start! Roony has a decent record so who knows what he'll do alongside better players? Our biggest problem has been creating chances under the sots defensive approach so hope CH will be more positive in his outlook.

Indeed. Creating more chances results in more goals, and in King and Rooney we have people that know where the net is and haven't forgotten how to find it. Exciting times ahead. More than less than a goal a game dare I dream ?

Im glad NQM has gone now its all done.. Its best for all concerned if Jerome goes ( no need to go into detail)
New players have signed and should be given a chance..perhaps not bigged up or done down just given a chance
Chris Hughton has a massive job on his hands..all we can do is support him,the players he selects and above all Birmingham City Football Club

It certainly is shaping up to be a massive job.
What’s particularly galling is that we’ve hardly peeved our money up the wall, blindly chasing the dream – a la Portsmouth. Our record signing remains Heskey (£6m) and the countless players we’ve lost out on in recent seasons due to us being unwilling to meet wage demands are well documented.
Fans quibble about whether the level of support both this and the previous board offered was good, bad or indifferent, but safe to say we’ve always pretty much cut our cloth accordingly. I laughed when I read that Mail article yesterday quoting Pleat as saying we “seem now to be paying for our profligacy”!! Do me a favour!
And yet by all accounts we’re skint….parachute payments or not….and every noise that comes out of the club suggests that every half decent saleable asset is as good as gone. We all know it only gets harder with each season that goes by after relegation, yet we all sit here and seemingly shrug our shoulders. Frankly, it’s a scandal what is going on. I admire those posting on here about how excited they are for what lies ahead. Personally, I’m mortified. I was ready for a bit of time in the sun after years of scratching around in the lower leagues and I’m sorry, the signs aren’t good my friends….

I think that we are overreacting a little here with regards to the squad. The last promotion was done on a net spend of £1m and that was Marcus Bent. Currently we have a negative spend but then the transfer window has only just opened and with a new manager in it will take some time to be able to get his targets lined up. I'm convinced that the board will give him some money albeit not multi millions. On top of that we have the loan market to use, which usually doesn't start rolling until the later stages of the transfer window. We have in the past relegation come backs used the loan market effectively. As soon as one of the big fees comes in we might see some spending.
I do also believe that we have a strong squad for the championship without a few of the bigger players. This is not a pop at Jerome but if we sold him for £5-6 million would we miss his goals? Davies is good enough to fill the RJ/Dann hole and I think the midfield signings and younger players can tap that Gardner hole as well.
It's actually a lot better than it could have been, and writing yourselves off before a ball is kicked is really stupid.
If Davis is good enough to replace Dann why aren't Arsenal, Liverpool,Sunderland and Stoke being linked with him?

That was the point of th thread. AM was given the tools to achieve promotion. Not sure that CH will be with the current board and the cash problems of the current owner.

:LMAO: So Burke was wanted by his club but he didn't agree to the contract they offered? Isn't that what I said. And King scores goals, he will therefore be more valuable to our promotion campaign than Cam although I don't see what your comparison has to do with your Bosmans are rubbish argument. Player of the season at Cov and fans/ manager wanted him to stay again contrary to what you think of Bosmans. This is the case for many Bosmans. So in short, you are wrong. Good day to you :break:
:LMAO: OK, lets get freebies in because they cost nothing and start playing exiting free flowing football with a far poorer squad than last season and get promoted with bucket basement signings, ermmmm, try using that thing between your lug-holes mate.

Chris Hughton has a massive job on his hands..all we can do is support him,the players he selects and above all Birmingham City Football Club
Agree a HUGE job ,lets hope he is given the tools to do it
That was the point of th thread. AM was given the tools to achieve promotion. Not sure that CH will be with the current board and the cash problems of the current owner.
Hughton is confident he can build a team to achieve promtion..despiet knowing everything he and the club have to do. He backs himslef to do it,the least we can do is do the same
70% of managers think they can get promotion with their sides, he is just one of many.

Managers who think their team can get promoted divided by total number of managers equals 70%?
Or did you just pluck that number out of thin air.
Talking nonsense as usual.
