Which First Division football team never won a game during the reign of a Pope ?

Pope John Paul I reigned from 26 August to 28 September 1978 - 33 days. During that time The Blues never won a First Division game.

(Incidentally, our first win that season was in November - we beat Man U 5- 1 !!!)

First English CLUB to play in a European final. The first English TEAM was a London selection, a few seasons previously. The competition was the Fairs Cup.

The first goal at St. Andrew's was scored by Benny Green, who was awarded a piano for the goal!

In 1888 we became the first club to adopt limited liability, share capital was £650.

St. Andrew's was used as a rifle range during World War One.

The highest ever attendance at St. Andrew's was 67,341 against Everton in the FA Cup in 1932.

1st Million pound player...

Sir Trev/

Don't know if it's true, but I read somewhere once where the fee was actually £999,999 because Clough didn't want to saddle TF with the tag of being the first Million Pound player....
