I sincerely hope that some of this money is earmarked for calderwood's release.

Chris Hughton needs help in gelling the squad raising the fitness levels and to also identify players that we should be looking at.

On Rj twitter page he wrote how easy the 1st day back was. I wasn't expecting to read that as I always thought the 1st day back was meant to be tough.

We need a new quack too!

We didn't have a full time quack before McGuiness arrived, another one of Alex's expensive ideas.

I agree with the OP.

With all the off field situation and the squad coming and going , CH needs support and a friend, Pannu is excellent but he is not a football man. CH needs an assistant manager.

The Cork trip is on Wednesday, it would be great if we could get someone in for then .

The brolly boy at Forest is staying behind to get signings, I think that is a really bad move, CH needs to be with the team in Cork but he also needs one eye on the transfer targets and who's going.

Some on here are shouting for money for new players, I think CH's most important signing this transfer window is a number 2 ( no jokes please) :copno: he can have faith in and trust

imo, the better place for him than sitting in his office letting his number two be out on the pitch.

:LMAO: Excuse me, I'm being juvenile :P

FFS lets not get ionto a war over him!
If Forest want him let them have him! Surely CH has other options!
Just heard Mark Bowen has been demoted at Fulham, some on here had him down as a tactician of world class pedigree, try for him!

KRO

Would love Mark Bowen back, we played our best football with him and Bruce until they fell out, he was quality

In that clip Calderwood was almost pleading for someone to pay the compo and get him out of Hibs IMO.

Colin is ONE target - ONLY and SIMPLY one target - because we made an enquiry for him.
So some people assume that it's Colin and anyone else must be rubbish.

:D

Why can't some people realise that it isn't just women that can multi-task.

As 'Des' said, why bother fighting, we made an enquiry that went as far as compensation and that's it.

They can keep a disgruntled manager as far as I'm concerned.

Forest can't outbid us. Blimey, McLaren has already said he's upset with his board's lack of transfers and may skip the training camp in Cleethorpes to oversee all transfer activity.

Forest can't outbid us even though Maclaren's dwindling London media supporters claim that Forest are favourites. Good PR that backfired when it turned out that Forest made no offer of compensation, whereas we did.

This is a number 2 we're discussing. A good friend and competent coach to our new manager.
But CH knows others.
Chris is hands-on in training.Gelling, speaking, sorting.

The urgency to sign on a coach doesn't exist at the moment

There is no hassle, no panic and no urgency from Blues, Chris can deal with this period, so why should some forum members panic?

:LMAO:

For some reason i thought that he had gone with Mark Hughes, but if he's still available then he has to be the guy to go for....
Then again, Hughes will eventually get a high profile position and come knocking on Bowen's door I guess....
It's all about the committment - if he did join us would Bowen stay for the long term

Just read on mirror website now that compensation agreed with Vile, we have agreed the compensation with Hibs. Not sure if speculation but would love to get in CH's no 1 target.
Sorry I can't post link from my phone :break:

Edited for TERRIBLE grammar!

Can we please hurry up and sign CC, can you imagine what its like for Hibs fans right now, we have a manager who doesn't want to be at the club, a chairman who is only interested in getting more money and our season starts in under 2weeks. Know ones going to sign for hibs with this situation and hibs are at least 4 players short of having a decent squad.

(Sorry this is bringing out the Hibee in me lol)

I would add it might be better right now for the new manager to be "hands on" with the training and player involvement. He needs to get to know them quickly, and they need to understand the new boss. It is better than what often happens when a new manager comes in, where he is stuck in the office with a phone glued to his ear, and the palyers only see the number two.

Andy Wood was Blues coach under Freddie Goodwin in the 70s.

I always remember, I think '73, when he got the players to jog from Elmden training ground to the Dog and Duck where he got them drinking all afternoon. They had a slap-up fry-up at Greasy Joes before they went home.

Andy knows his stuff Stan.

Nothing new in report, but seems most Hibs fans see it as a good deal, and should let him go in comments section
