Get him in now, if he will come and we can afford him.
CH needs a second in command.

thought that was paul trollope's job?

Calderwood sacked by Hibs today.

Really wanted it to work out for him here but it seems he just doesn't have it as a manager. Great eye for a player but can't get them playing. Think he's a good assistant and that's it. Hopefully he comes to Birmingham now.

Hughton doesn't want an assistant does he? He likes to do as much as he possibly can, I believe he does most of the coaching aswell.

If we can't find enough cash to pay Stuart Parnaby's salary where are going to find the money to pay an assistant manager, which would be significantly more?

Hibernian have sacked manager Colin Calderwood after just 12 months in charge at Easter Road!

Chris had always wanted him and he will be cheaper now and no Mclaren to interfere.

I know we need players but Chris needs support

According to Sky Colin Calderwood has been sacked. Wonder of Chris will try and get him at St Andrews again?!

So Hibs have sacked him after their results - and remember CH was reportedly very keen on him moving to Stans after he took the helm - so will we see him down at the Blues? Is it an opportunity for us - or will prove more a distraction?

At the time Hibs wanted compensation which we probably couldn't afford. Chris Hughton may well try to bring him in now.

I'm happy with the ways things are at present (Hughton and Trollope) and see no reason to change that.

Especially at this point in the season. Maybe in the summer, but as it stands - I like their work.

At the same time it would be good to have the extra man to share the burden....

I thought Trollope was brought in as a first team coach?

I would welcome someone else, who Hughton trusts, inside the team.

3 heads are better than 2....

It's still here, along with all the other threads saying the same thing. They've been merged.

Just two questions.

What, exactly will he bring, into a role above the First Team Coach and below the Manager?

Can we afford more wages, before January 31st?

It's interesting to hear peoples' views but it's a pointless discussion really... the club simply can't afford to add another salary to the aready stretched overheads. We're broke!!
