Keep him (and his scribble pad) well away from our first team players and you never know we might just win the Title

Isnt it amazing how so many on here want to irradicate that wonderfull day and the whole cup run as if it never happened just to make a point.
I`m as wounded as anyone on here by Mcleish`s betrayal. But tactically he totally out smarted Wenger on the day, surely Grant had some input into that!!!!

One name, Ben Foster. He is the main reason we weren't beat that day.

We seem to have hate campaigns against assistant managers more than managers

Aitken ****

Grant ****

Who?

Beausajour and Redmond were on national duty, I saw Johnson, Dann, Foster, Jerome, Ferguson, Ridgewell, only person I don't think I saw was Zigic but tbh I don't want him here at the start of the season.

I agree, Des

At Wembley we got the tactics spot on

I had nowt against Roy Aitken......I still believe Roy shook up a few egoes and all the players respected him

But you have to face the glaring truth .......Since Peter Grant came in (apart from the Carling Cup) results and performances were just going from bad to worse and even on to shambolic

I was a big supporter of McLeish

But those last 6 games of the PL season were just too much to bear.....The pair of them had completely lost the dressing room and the Fulham home game was like watching a pub game from a Blues perspective......Jeeze ! ....A Man United or Chelsea on that day would have beaten us 8-0 or 9-0

I never forgave (and never ever will) Steve Bruce for the way he left the club.....and I can never forgive McLeish either for his ultimate act of betrayal and taking a coward's way out when all he had to do was resign immediately after White Hart Lane

But TBH , I think the club can go forward again under Hughton......and if we play a more attacking style that produces a better goal return I think fans will return to St Andrews in numbers as well

Think it was down to losing key players, And BIG signings simply not working out to be honest

Rather than simply GRANT imo of course

Zigic is training separetly at Wast Hills as he overcomes his fitness and health problems. Got to be fit enough to pass a medical I suppose :D

McFadden was with the physios as he continues his rehab work.

As was said - Bojangles and Redmond were abroad (Redmond returns Thursday).

Dave Watson was training with 4 goalkeepers.
Doyle, Foster, Butland and Maik - who has been given permission to train with Blues whilst awaiting a new club.

Andy Watson and Grant were not present on the media open day.

How can you even say that? Yes Foster had his work cut out but so did every player on that pitch. Zigic was on top of his game and you could easily say if he wasn't there we wouldn't have won also. I may not be Ecks biggest fan but on that day he got it spot on. You making it sound like it was down to just Foster downgrades all the other players effort and performance. As a team we deserved to win. We played better than Arsenal!

I said main reason, I can't be held responsible for what you infer from what I wrote. I wasn't taking anything away from the other players. He got man of the match so I'm not the only one going along with that way of thinking.
