This may upset some people but here goes ............... 1/ West Spam Utd 2/ Blackpool 3/ Leicester City 4/ Cardiff City 5/ Leeds Utd 6/ Forest 7/ Middlesbrough 8/ Blues I really hope i am wrong and our position will depend on what squad we have in place for the start of the campaign next year. But this is going on the basis that we sell our best players and do not replace them with any notable quality. |

West Ham will NOT win the league. You heard it here first (or fiftieth...). They'll lose a lot more first-team players than we will before the season starts. Blues have a good chance of being top two IMHO with Hughton's leadership. |

No one wants their players because they're all poor. Why has everyone got the team that finished bottom of the league and the only team to not be apart of the tightest premier league in years, on the last day of the season, to run away with the championship? |

Wouldn't rule us out yet, we have only lost Gardner so far and there will be loads more ins before the transfer window closes. Yeah all be it we will loose a couple of our "stars" but what you've got to ask yourself is how good can they be if they got us relegated? KRO! |

Your version of "our best players" - may not coincide with other people's opinions of "our best players". In terms of quality, perhaps not, but we in a lower quality league now, and we need the type and quality to fit that league. Look at all the clubs:- Reading Boro Burnley Derby Hull Leeds etc - that dropped out of the Prem in recent years and retained the majority of their high earners. Used their parachute payments to keep them in fact. Didn't get promoted instantly and suffered by having hardly any financial resources in the second year. We will sell, we have to. But depending on the price and if it is right for blues, we may be keeping more players than some people think. I base that suggestion on the character of Chris Hughton and the resolve of Peter Pannu. Between them they will have an idea of who may go and who they will let go, and obviously, who they have in mind to replace them. I must be getting senile, but I am getting less and less worried as each day goes by. :) |

Yes but us without Gardner, Dann, Foster, Jerome, Johnson will be like a league 1 side also. We must keep these players or spend decent money to replace them. |

agreed but also think that if they don't want to be here then let them go.personally would rather stay in championship for a year or so and build a good young side that when we do go up we will stay there.think that we've got enough in reserve to be in with a shot of going up and also hughton will use the loan market very well. |

What's with all the doom and gloom? The season hasn't even bloody started yet! We've got CH, bought in 4 players (2 strikers) and only got rid of one. I trust CH's words that he will hold out until the team offers the right price, and I'm fine with that. I don't expect all of our good players to stay. Either way we'll have a better team than last time we were in the championship. I think we'll win it this time to be fair, no more last day worries and coming 2nd - 1st and up about 2 or 3 weeks before the season ends. What can I say - I'm an optimist. But jesus christ, its better than being depressing! You're making me want to jump, :boohoo: |

Even If we sell all our top players we will still have a squad capable of competing at the top of the table this season. Like CH keeps stressing, all he wants Is to "at the start of the season have a squad of players who can compete at the right end of the table." King - One of the best strikers In the Championship Burke - One of the best If not the best winger in the league Beausejour - Will be big for us this season Imo, could rip this league apart Davies - Will more than likely be one of the best centre halves In the league Mutch - Has great potential, could again be big for us this season Then you have the likes of Rooney and Gomis who are an unknown quantity, yes they could turn out to be poor of course they could but at the same time they could turn out to be great signings, and until proven otherwise I will believe the latter. Also throw In to the mix the likes of Redmond and Asante, If they are given game time, which I think they will be now McLeish has gone they could be brilliant for us. We will see some more signings coming In aswell, just because we get players on free's It doen't mean the're bad players, just that It's goo business. It ain't all doom and gloom. |

we will be lucky to finish top ten this season! more players will go I have been trying to stay posotive but really cant see a light at the end of this dismal tunnel, and the signings so far have been a joke. i honestly hope these words come back to haunt me great manager but he has been left **** signings :banghead: |

I have no time for this stupid post. Rubbish signings? King and Burke are two of the best players in the league! We're likely to keep Foster, best goally in the league. Crawl back into your negative box and plan for next year when of course we will sebstaving off relegation to League 1. Oh, and do you actually have a clue who is going to leave, or just trying to drag everyone else into your little ball of negativety. |

I did not want King and still don't, Burke can be very good or can be bloody awful as the Cardiff fans have said, we can only judge him on his performances...but why did Cardiff not offer him the extra money he wanted to stay at the club if he is that good? |

Burke left Cardiff because he wanted to, the exact same reason Seb Larsson left us. He didn't want more money, he just didnt want to be there any more, which Is why he's moved to a bigger club. Just because people are on free's It don't mean their previous clubs didn't want them, I'm sure Blues would have loved to have kept Seb Larsson, but because he didnt want to be here any more he left. |

According to Mallam though, as Larsson left on a free, he must be worth absolutely nothing and is a terrible player  |

He was not offered a new contract. Cardiff have announced that striker Jay Bothroyd and wing Chris Burke will not be at the club next season. Both players are out of contract and a club statement confirmed that neither man was on Cardiff's retained list. Basically Cardiff trying to save face. It says they wern't offered contracts but not that they wanted to be offered contracts. Bothroyd had Premiership Interest so It was a no brainer for him to want to leave. Burke would have got Intrest from bigger clubs than Cardiff, and clubs that had more chance of promotion, e.g Us. Seb Larsson wasn't offered a new contract once the season finished, but he was however offered extentions and contract's beforehand which he rejected. I'm sure Burke was the same, as according to Dave Jones he was an Integral part of the team. Also he was voted In to Cardiffs team of the decade! After only 2 years was It? Any bad things you're hearing from Cardiff fans are just sour grapes as he's left them. |
