Carr would still be captain. He was still solid last year and I'd expect him to be just as effective in the championship.

Yeah, Carr has been a brilliant captain and I couldn't see Ridge being captain even though he is a true professional, Ridge seems too quiet on the field.

Hughton knows Carr from his days at Tottenham and maybe Newcastle aswell, there's no way he will strip him of the captaincy.

Carr Is like our own little Cafu, he Is 34 years old and has the engine of a 24 year old, he never stops running!

He's the perfect captain for us Imo.

It might be clutching at straws, but giving Roger Johnson the captaincy and the challenge to lead the team to the title might help towards him staying.

I'd rather try that one on Scott Dann In all honesty.

I think playing in the PL and an increase in wages is his only priority at the moment, He'll only stay if the clubs that come in for him don't offer him big enough wages, or maybe he thinks he can do better than them in January.

Who knows.

As for Ridgewell, I hope he stays, he would purely be leaving for money if he left.

Do not think it would make a blind bit of difference to either DANN or JOHNSON tbh

Hope if DANN goes he gets a move to a big club

I know It wouldn't.

But If Blues were going to try It (which I'm sure they wont) I'd rather tr It with Dann as Johnson has already made It known that he want's out. Dann has been far less vocal about his Intentions, although I'm sure he does want to leave to play Premiership football.

I did say that it was clutching at straws. And I'm fairly sure that Scott Dann's off, more so than Johnson.

I know

Think it just shows the different characters of the men TBH

Thats why i dont think we would begrudge a move for DANN for the right money , But maybe we are hoping no one comes in for JOHNSON just to P*** him off

Albion for Ridgewell is recycled news...

As for the Express and the Star, says it all really. I wouldn't use them papers for bog roll
