I thought i'd share this with all of you. A very good and honest friend of mine told me that just a week before the Tottenham game he saw CJ totally reliant on crutches.

As we all know he still played against spurs. Make of that what you will but I guarantee you all that this person is not the lying type. I could go into more detail in terms of proof but I dont know wether its wise to on a public forum.

But tell me this, how can you go from not being able to walk to leading the line at premier league level in less than a week? Now I am far from being CJ's biggest fan but surely things like this arent going to help his performances are they.

He wouldn't have been 'totally reliant'. He will have been keeping the weight off it. We knew he wouldn't be training and would be taking an injection to get him through it.

He didn't have a broken leg.

well that might explain his performance at spurs - still cant believe why mcleish kept him on when it was obvious he was done in

I thought it was common knowledge that Jerome was having injections in his foot to get through games?

Still shat though.

The fulham, wolves, wba homegames....he was constantly holding the back of his leg and looking over at the bench. I remember thinking Eck was pointedly ignoring him...."Sorry mate, you are stopping ON"

injury may explain why he looked so darned ordinary.

Being on crutches before the last game of the season is no excuse for his poor finishing all season. Jerome is your classic "he will come good" player. Accept he won't.

Jerome is a brave hard working lad of that there is no doubt. His weaknesses were highlighted this year mainly because he had a poor season. He was exceptionally unlucky at times in front of goal. Torres had a rubbish season too. It happens.

Anyone slating Jerome at present is a complete shortsighted pilic imo. While he may have had a last season he was top goalscorer in 2009-2010. He is also a more than capable striker at championship level. So Im hoping we keep him.

I still cant believe the adulation that "Uno" received while Jerome got slated for scoring double figures. Just shows that many Blues fans just use the club and the players as a target to output their bile. Many DO NOT BEHAVE LIKE THEY LOVE the club. If they did they would not behave this way. I think this is one of the primary reasons why Birmingham City have found it so hard to sustain success.

Jerome was a 5m striker has been well worth the budget he was bough for and has been a very good servant for this club.

I certainly hope he is part of our championship campaign.

Wouldn't surprise me at all.

After the abuse from supporters, an extremely limited amount of service, the demands of midfielding and defending as much (if not more) than he was attacking, little support when attacking, the lost causes he chased down, the closing down, THE RUNNING, the high work-rate he put in every shift, etc., and all with minimal (if any) complaints, it would be no real shock if he could hardly walk between matches and he was playing through immense pain on top of it all.

I want him to stay, but wouldn't begrudge him one bit if he wanted away. Cam we'll always get a :applause: from me.

That's very profound Tony - I have never really considered that :applause:

I have considered that a football stadium is like a concave lens and that it gathers all the negativity - or positivity - created by the fans from all around the ground and focuses that energy onto the centre of the pitch, the St Andrew's Sigh being a perfect example....
But never considered that 'fans' just come along to dump all their vitriol and then clear off....

Is it any wonder that every Club now needs a psychologist?
I reckon the Club should make one available for members of this Forum

Most PL strikers would get 3 or 4 chances a game, if they score every other game they are 'hot property' and worth fortunes. With our style of play last year CJ was lucky to get 1 chance a game putting huge pressure on him to score. We all know the result, fluffed chances, wrong decisions and no return in goals. What if he plays in a team that create him the 3 or 4 chances a game?
CJ is an honest lad and may just come back to haunt us if he goes!!
Interestingly Stoke are back looking at Carlton Cole and Sicknote at Spurs so maybee they have run out of patience with the deal for Dann and Jerome interesting time, less and less suiters for the players who want out! KRO :kro:
