Looks like Matt Mills is going Leics for 5m... would love to have the money Leic have behind them as he would have been a perfect replacement for Dann/RJ

Doesn't matter how much money they have, in the championship it matters how the coach molds the team. Leicester will be close, Im not sure their manager is the right one to build a championship winning team.

West Ham have a manager and in Nolan have the one marqee player who may make a difference, we could all be playing for 2nd , but Leicester who ever they buy , because of their managers inexpieience at this level, may only get top 6.

It is sad though when we can't even compete for the likes of Matt Mills. I remember standing in Wembley when we won the cup and thinking, this is it, were finally moving to the next level, we will finally be able to compete for the Pavlechenko, Wes Browns and Nzogbias of this world but look where we are now. Who'd have thunk it... :(

Wes Brown isn't a bad defender at all Imo. And In the opinion of probably the greatest manager the Premier league has ever and will ever see.

He's spent 15 years as a Man Utd player, you dont last that long there without having something about you. Having also amounted 23 caps for England.

I'd have him In the Blues defence In a heartbeat, even If we were In the Premiership.

Imo Sunderland have got themselves a bargain today by signing him for a reported £1M.

Its funny some people wetting themselves at Wes Brown when we are signing Steven Caldwell

Wes Brown is a very good player - just injury prone

I'm with you on this one! Wes Brown wouldn't have been in the Man Utd squad for over a decade if he wasn't any good!

He was a sub in the 1999 Champs League final, played 120 minutes in the 2008 final (only coming off at the death to allow Anderson to take a penalty) and only missed the others due to injuries.

He is a top class defender, would have him at Blues instantly....shame we're f****d

Seriously Blues Fans are not now saying that Birmingham City last season were above signing Wes Brown? Seriously? My God some of our fans are more deluded than I thought

With the fees and wages they have been and are likely to be handing out it would be interesting to see if they are spending within their means. I presume they will be gambling on the fact they will be promoted this season.

Hang on a minute its my opinion and im clearly not the only one. I dont rate him and would never have him in the Prem. The ammount of times ive seen him hes never impressed me. Makes too many mistakes.Watch him next season when he gets more games. ill admit if he does well but I dont think he will. KRO!!!
