Anyone go from off here? I went with a mate stood behind the goal with about another 12-15,00 Blues fans that Tuesday night. liverpool went 1up and then i think Keith Bertschin equalised(Frank Worthington was suspended after been sent off at Everton the previous Saturday). The Blues end went absolutly nuts :dancer: !! then before we knew what happened we we're 3-1 down and out. Then after the game Scousers we're getting run on stanley park ;) |

Yes, I was there Liverpool 'hoolies' waiting in numbers for some aggro outside the away end (Anfield Rd)......the Scousers didn't really want to fight in those days.....they usually just wanted to rob your clothes We dodged the trouble by exiting at the old side stand they had and even went to get a bag of chips from the chippy opposite the Kop surrounded by Reds fans Stopped for a drink in Runcorn on the way back......Aamzingly my old Ford Escort was unscathed......stereo and hub caps were still intact :applause: :blues: |

It was 2nd December 1980......quarter final **thumbup Liverpool went on to win the LC trophy for the first time beating West Ham in a 2-1 replay win at Villa Park ....it was the first of four on the trot from them, they have won the League Cup the most times (7)....more than any other club |

Am I right in thinking that was one of the first few games Ian Rush played for Liverpool? |

According to wiki, Rush made his debut 11 days later in a League game away at Ipswich Town |
