Gutted he has gone, BF and Mutch playing in the centre of midfield would have been great for Mutch and would have really helped him

But oh well we move on

I think we will miss his experience in midfield, not sure if we have any real leaders in the centre of the park anymore. Him leaving will require a lot of our players to step up. Going to miss him, always felt he was our most comfortable player on the ball but suffered due to a lack of willing forward runners which led to the sideways and short passes.

I wish him luck at Blackpool.

:crying: Sad to see him leave, even though it's been expected. In my opinion he's got a few years in the Prem left so I'd rather him in a Prem club. Mind you maybe Blackpool will be next season!

I wish him all the best at Blackpool though and I hope plays well and makes all his critics on here realise what they're missing!

No Blackpool messageboard for me whoever it was that was suggesting that! You're stuck with me! See ya in November at Blackpool v Blues. Visits to chav central I can hardly wait! < <

Good look Baz and thanks for what you've done for us.

I have no issue with a player of his age looking for a last big payday and wanting this to be on their terms (e.g. closer to the Third World <sorry> Jockland).

To all those who arent giving him the full credit he deserves. Try breaking 1 of your ribs and getting off the sofa to make a cup of tea and see how it feels never mind playing 90 minutes of football for 6 weeks.

At 1m he was an absolute steal probably the best transfer we have ever made.

Other than Kendal he is the best midfielder we have had in the past 50 years. His first season apart from Scholes he was the best midfielder in the country.

Definitely should have been player of the season ahead of Hart who didnt actually belong to us.

We will miss the wee maestro hope the Carling Cup medal sits well in your cabinet.

Really sorry that anoyher wembley hero is leaving us but thanks for all your efforts.

If it weren't for us "Jocks" you wouldn't have a shiny Carling Cup trophy in your cabinet thanks! Neither would you have your KRO anthem, nor your stadium name...need I go on. < <

Well he is a different Barry when playing for McInept than he was playing for Walter Smith.

A crab moves sideways because that is the make-up of a crab - Barry was often sideways because that was the team make-up under McLeish and how he had them playing. Where were the options for Barry to do anything else.

When will folk realise that McLeish was a boring and negative manager.

I'm sorry to see him go, it's a sad day when we lose our better players to Blackpool..................so many if only's. As someone else has said up the page he was a crab under Mcjudas... If only he had stopped doing it so much, if only he hanen't gone backwards to Liam at Blackburn in the 49th minute of the first half, we would have gone on to beat Blackburn that day and with it 40 points and saftey.
Thanks Barry................ **thumbup

Now he's gone I'm sure people will slag him off!! But he was a top professional for us, gave everything! Yes he had his limitations, but the 100% he gave week in week out made up for that!

Thanks for the service Barry! Hopefully some of the young uns get a chance to shine and have learnt from BF!

I really rated him but I'm glad that he has gone tbh, I can't see him trying that hard without Mcleish and it's got to be a better idea to give someone younger a run out.

Barry Ferguson was immense for us...for £1m was it? I'd call that value for money.

Best of luck in the future Baz, always welcome at St Andrews. And so we move on...i must admit i'm looking forward to seeing a fresh new approach with the newbies we've got in. Admittedly we're at a different level now but maybe its just freshened things up with the new manager and his new ideas.

One of my favorite players to ever put on a Blues shirt, admired everything about his game and his calmness on the ball and his ability to pass.

I still can't understand why did we changed things up from our first season back to a more airial game when we played some great stuff in 09/10 Everton away in the cup anyone? Oh well whats done is done good luck Barry! :blues:
