Ive read tweets from a load of people saying how they met a load of players and Hughton himself after the game, and they signed a load of autographs.

Go figure..

Yup, and couple of lads stayed in same hotel and had a drink or 2 with the players!

It seems there a good bunch of players who are very approachable and willing to stop and chat with people!

Yes actually I saw a photo with Hughton and some fans, what looked to me was in a pub.

it was, they had the night off after the game... so some took full advantage of this!! by all accounts the hotel they were staying in had its own night club :drink:

Hi.
I was disgusted to find that only Fozzie before the game and Doyley after the game, came across to the 2-300 Blues fans at the Cork match.
Travelling such distances deserves some praise from the Blues players and management team.
I didnt see any of the players clap either.

Now I never liked McCleish as a manager but he always did appreciate the fans and on many occasions redirected the players back to show their appreciation.
Hughton didn't. Bad start in my book.
Not like me to be negative but there was lots of people of the same mind!
So for those of us planning to go on the European tour, we know what to expect!
Codnorbluenose.

never once did I see him direct the players to the fans.

Instead of focusing on mcleish, shouldn't you be asking why he left? It stinks, he went Villa who were also in trouble and didn't look back. With the whole Yeung arrest I suspect there are serious problems at the club.

The appointment of a 18 year old just sums it. Complete and utter farce

Wasn't there mate, so that explains that.

But I still think it's a petty post I'm afraid.

I agree disgusted is a little over the to but if I went I would definatley be disapointed.

It works both way, the players should feed off the fans and vice versa - we sing and cheer, they play well, create chances etc which in turn gets us more excited - we then sing louder and they in turn get the bit between their teeth and play better and so on and so forth.

As fans we are appreciative of the players who give their all for our club, likewise they should show their appreciation for us - Its cliched but without us (as footie fans in general) they would be stocking shelves at asda for minimum wage, not on however many thousand a week

Pools.

It's a bloody friendly match.

We played 21 different players.

Most of them making auditions.

Is there ever going to be any repsite from trivial, petty, juvenile, anti-blues postings??

And are Mods like yourself, going to chip in and then slowly crawl bakwards when they realise they've realised they have made a mistake?

Mod involvement in a thread gives credence to that thread.

Pools, if you have an opinion, start a new thread my friend.
Don't chip in and then have second thoughts.

Common sense Pools.

im not having second thoughts. If you understood my post (as oppsed to just reading the words) I agree with his sentiment and what he is saying, but not the particular word disgused.

Like I said I would be very DISAPOINTED if it didnt happen - I dont expect EVERY SINGLE PLAYER to have walked over and applauded, those who played the first but not second half would have been having ice baths (usual for a pre season game) and the like but those 11 men who finished should have had the decency to walk towards the fans and give them a clap.

Clearly you know something we don't then and Yeung' case is completely different as it happened what...3 years ago? And I suppose you know all about Ryan Yeung' education and knowledge. Besides, the OP mentioned McLeish so why shouldn't he respond?

I blame the board for the fact that I am wearing the wrong socks.

Damn come to think bout it. I sat down to dinner today, then i got up and the food was gone. Those sneaky suit wearing food robber should be ashamed BOARD OUT!!!..

I did LOl at the topic tho lol. If it was an away game half way through the season and the fans sung their hearts out and we didnt get a good resault then i can undserstand. But its a pre-season friendly :S does it really matter.

Well I love the board. I put my clothes in to wash the other day. After the cycle they were gone and £200 popped out the machine. I cant stop using it now.

If it was me, I would appreciate fans travelling hundreds of miles to see me play.

Pretty poor Blues.

So when we go to Tirana or Kiev and travel even further and at even more expense then should I not expect to reecive a token clap from the players and management?

These people aren't God.
Everyone is equal
