A bit of good news..

I've just asked Andy Walker (Works at blues and regularly has contact with the blues players) if Scott Dann was happy staying at blues

His answer: Yes he is.

Surely some good news

HOWEVER

All depends on our financial situation i suppose :(

Of course he is gonna say that. He knows he is leaving - there is no chance he is going to stay, so what else is he going to say when asked if he would be happy to stay? Is he gonna say "there is no chance at all I want to stay here at this ****-pot of a club in a cack division"

Not trying to pee on any bonfires here - just being realistic

If you follow both Adam and Andy on twitter, you can see Adams question and Andy's answer.

In terms of money and attention, Dann is our prize asset at the moment, and the financial situation may justify his sale.

In an odd way, he could be more beneficial to the Blues long term future by selling him rather than retaining him.

Although, on a personal level, I'd prefer him to stay.

No way on earth he is staying. Yeungs in big financial problems and Danns probably the most profitable player. I think he will end up at Arsenal

well given that the ones that have gone were in the same position...only Foster has previously said he is happy to stay...the rest have done one !!!!!!!

this is purely my opinion and is not meant to offend any of the two people mentioned in the highlighted text above.

Adam has been on here spouting tripe for many a transfer window. you can often see his 'exclusives' from people that clearly know very little about the transfer dealings at the club and he always uses the insurance comment of just passing on what he's heard.

the fact that he follows someone on Twitter does not give him any more insight over any other supporter that does the same.

Andy Walker is not going to answer a public question with anything other than the party line and i bet if any of us asked Dann if he was prepared to stay he'd say the same.

it's not news just a safe answer to a silly public question :break:

I'd guess that he'll stay at Blues until he regains full fitness with a view to him being sold in January if his fitness holds up.
Wouldn't surprise me if there's a current agreement with another club already in place.

Seeing as Wenger has been priced out of moves for both Cahill and Jagielka I can see him making a move for Dann soon enough. Will be able to get him for cheaper and we will be more willing to sell. I really doubt Dann will be here come the end of the transfer window.

I'd personally question as to whether Dann's a "top 4" player anyhow. Even so, I can't see any club risking it until he's proven his fitness.

According to the Sunday Mercury website this morning Arsenal are moving in with a 10m bid for Dann, having lost patience with Bolton over Gary Cahill. Can't see him staying in the Championship as opposed to playing in the Champions League!! If it is Arsenal how about a deal involving some of their fringe players on loan for a season, as with Bendtner, Larsson and Mwamba a few seasons back. That way we'd get cash in hand and some quality players in the squad.

andy walker quite often answers questions with his own opion from speaking to players, staff etc... however he will always say it is his own opinion!

he has said that dann is happy to stay and is not pushing for a move (dig at RJ) but also followed up with the club may look to sell if the right deal comes along

if the arsenal rumors are true then add 2 million to there offer and I would take it... it would be good money for the club and dann would be moving to a top club!!

People need to remember that Dann missed nearly half of last season due to injury.

How many players have struggled to return to top form after a serious injury? Perhaps clubs are waiting to see Dann prove himself and his fitness.

Matthew Upson was the same in 2006/07. Once he regained fitness, got games under his belt, he was off in January to West Ham.

I could see the same thing happening here.

Age, skill, judgement, attitude, ability, goalscoring off the top of my head.

agreed the reason danns being courted by bigger clubs is due to his better all round footballing ability. if you look at chelsea for example and man utd their centre backs can play a little

He must still be injured or have a medical problem meaning he wouldn't pass a medical at the moment.
