Ok I may be missing something here, but why are we in such a state that we are selling anything we can and the money seems to be disappearing into thin air??
I know big Eck was to blame for getting us relegated due to his negative tactics and failing to motivate players after the cup win, I also know that we have less than dubious owners with a pending court case against one.... I know all these things, however how come a seemingly stable club last year has gone to a club on the brink of extinction?? I watched Pompey almost fail I saw other clubs going down hard, but we seem to be in freefall before even kicking a ball.. where is all the parachute money going?? We were never top payers in the Premiership so why are things so desperate??
I will always support my club no matter where they will be, blue is in the blood and it will always be that way, however I was always fearful when Gould etc left at what may happen .... Sadly the people in control now are only holding the steering wheel of a car in crash mode with no idea where the brakes are!
Please tell me I am seeing all this wrong, give me some facts that will give me confidence as I fear we are the joke of the Midlands which is amazing as 6 months ago we were the pride of the Midlands....

we was living on the tv money bank loans and income from fans sponsers ect

now we lost the tv money

thats why theres a fire sale

I think the last post sums it up in simple terms - we didn't have a business plan for relegation and now we are having to sell. Having to send out Foster on loan because we can't pay his wages even though he is happy to stay is very frustrating. It looks like they played fast and loose with our finances (and the club) and the gamble didn't pay off. I would be worried if the same board is in charge for the next few seasons - if so, where will the money come from. KRO

Well fans complain when money isnt invested and then they complain when it is.

The previous board to quote them budgeted for relegation then threw 10m at it.

Our board went out to try to get a foothold in the premier league and didnt manage it.
There were a number of reasons why we failed the fact remains the same coming 18th in the league means we got relegated.

It is unfortunate that the club is in a situation now where we are having to seriously cut our cloth but there it is. The fact of the matter is we have proved that given reasonable investment and good manager we can win major trophies at wembley.

Birmingham City has capable players this season, a good manager and if the fans get behind them we can still make a good fist of this season.

Now stop your damn moaning at get behind the club.

Come On Blues

Another "woe is us" thread. Goody.

After the dust has settled, there'll still be the twelve or thirteen thousand hardcore fans with season tickets, there will still be the Blues fans that love their club and go when they can, and there will still be the more casual fan that goes when he wants or can afford it.

And there will still be "season-ticket holders" that claim to support the club but can't stop telling us how rubbish it is, yet somehow haven't got round to doing something more meaningful with their lives, and there will still be people that don't go, yet can't stop coming on here to tell us how rubbish it is at Blues.

There's a big difference between slagging off the team and being worried about the incompetence of the people in charge. I have had a season ticket for years and will support the team through thick and thin. But I also think it's right to question the owners - in fact, as fans it's exactly what we should do - they are accountable to us as the supporters and should be prepared to answer our concerns. And currently there are good reasons to ask questions.

Everyday I wait for good news...everyday all I hear is bad news.

Players going and average players staying or below average coming in.

Sad

No doom from me:

4 4 2
Wing play
Crosses from bye line
Two attacking central midfielders
Manager, coach and players enthused

It'll be a bit of a shock seeing a lower level of technical skills with many, perhaps all the new players but at least they see us as a step up and will have the desire to prove themselves whereas the last lot, including the management, gave up the ghost after Wembley

(RESPECT)

But I couldnt be bothered to read your post or the following, all I can post is my answer to your header.........

This person who is now still in the city, earning well, and living the premiership life style.

He should answer for the clubs decline !

He has written himself into the Cities history, we should welcome his down fall when it happens!

I am in a state of numbness and have been for several months since the cuo win to the relegation.

I am starting to feel we are heading in the same direction as we did under the wheldon / kumar era where everything worth selling is sold.

Glad we have a cup to show for it though is the only consolation I have from all of this mess.

Well you can always bury your head in the sand and go !lalalaalaaaalaaa, I ain't listening.llalllallla
or you can look at the facts which is confounded by the unbelievable decision to try and loan out Foster, it has made us a laughing stock and until we get a statement TELLING US THE TRUTH I will continue to worry about our future....is that OK with you?
