BCFC's Andy Walker: Leamington 1 Blues reserves 2 (Gnahore)

Gnahore is an absolute beast from what I've seen.

Michel got into space again - looking decent going forward.

:blues: I think we are beginning to see the start of our new world evolving **thumbup

Yes, but I'd rather we got Asante on up front and went 4-4-2.

Yes the idea is to score goals to win games, 451 in a friendly ???

All the forwards are injured.

You wouldnt be saying that if judas picked this formation now would you be honest.

The purpose of 'friendlies' is to acclimatise players to each other, in differing formations.
We may need to play 4-5-1 at some point, and when can you test out the personel for that formation, who works best in it, except in a friendly competetive match.

We'd all like 4-4-3 or 4-4-2, but circumstances have dictated that we use this opportunity to see how and,who with, a 4-5-1 works best.

I'd love you to say that to Akwasi Asante and Jake Jervis.

Why?

Because they wouldn't like you belittling their ambitions. Both of them could be very good strikers.

What, that Murphy slots in at left back and Valles plays left mid?

If all the forwards are injured then I don't suppose CH has much choice. Of course you could play either Asante or Jervis but I would imagine the manager is looking to sort out a likely starting X1 against Bolton.

And I sincerely hope they are good forwards but my feeling is that they are not figuring in CH's first team plans at present.

I agree with the point you are making Curly but he could bring on one of the two you mentioned by now to try and win the game to get some confidance going.

In my opinion, putting Asante on up front in a 4-4-2 is more likely to win us a game than a 4-5-1. We don't have the pure athleticism in midfield or attack to play it.
