Concessions Must Show Id At The Turnstile.

Derby tickets came today, including one for my little sister who is 15 but quite a tall girl therefore looks older. Now she hasnt got Id and will NOT be taking her passport to football. So my question is how strict is the sentiment on the tickets stating concessions must show id at the turnstile? In all the years at blues they have never asked for id.

Thanks.

I'm not sure to be honest... when we have gone with my mates kids they have never been stopped (about 14 years old) I always thought the selling club were supposed to check, but I suppose this wouldn't make sense as a 14 year old could buy it and a 30 year old use it!!

But even when I was 18 buying under 18 tickets I was never stopped. Strange one.

Her passport should be at hand ready for our European tour ;)

If i remember correctly, Derby have automatic turnstiles, you scan your ticket and walk in?

however, my boys look old for their age, never had a problem with concession tickets

Good idea Stevie, too much of an unnecessary risk taking passport to a game.

Ive only ever been stopped once for ID and that was at Nottingham Forest... and for a Student ticket, and I forgot my ID... the steward let me in though.

Ive not found it to be particularly strict anywhere for them checking tickets, especially away, I presume they think Blues would check any ID's before selling them.

A picture of her passport on your/her mobile phone should do it. Thats what my lad uses to prove id for 15 at cinema

I've never been asked for I.D so I wouldn't bother really. Perhaps take a photo or photocopy just in case though.

I used to use a "PASS card" like ValidateUK or a CitizenCard for proof of age as I didnt want to take my passport out and before I had a driving licence. Only thing is is its £15 to purchase one but its an alternative way of proving age I suppose.

Took my NUS card last season to games for student tickets just in case but was never asked to show it.

Not strict at all. Im 21 and still buy them as im a Student at Uni. Always have my student card on me but never ever been asked. Dont get IDd for clubs either, its a win/win.

Especially this season, im sure we will be trying to get people through the doors not turn them away! From experience Id say she will easily be fine!
