Reality check for West Spam :dancer:

They had plenty of chances but couldnt finish.

Wish we had Miller looks a lively player today but happy that West Spam didnt get the result. :dancer:

Surprising isnt it? Green, Parker, piccionne, among others. I caught the last 30 mins and the game looked 50-50 to me. Lovely strike by kenny miller, though green should've saved it really.

Maybe people will stop crying about relegation now just because we lost 2-1 to Derby, at least we were away from home, West Ham are favourites for promotion aswell.

In terms of quality I don't think any team has played better than us except Southampton, they did play some really good football.

As for West Ham I think they are still in Prem mode. All too many times they sat with the ball thinking they have time, doesn't happen in this league I'm afraid. Cost them a goal with that mentality.

Atleast we're not playing catch up to the supposed fav's :)

Parker looked like he'd rather be somewhere else. Big Sam under pressure already, he needn't worry their board will stick with him no matter how they perform.

I still think West Ham will be up there come the season's end. Very early days and Cardiff are tough opposition in this league...did they finish 4th or 5th last season? It takes half a dozen games to get properly match fit - so much like ourselves, i'm sure there's better to come from them.

I don't know why people love them so much, they were the only team relegated before the last day in the tightest relegation battle in years, I'm glad they've kept most of them they were terrible last year

I think if they didnt already, they now know that this league wont just be an easy season for them as they cruise to a league title.

Same for Leicester who struggled vs Coventry for large parts, same as Leeds, Forest etc etc.

Watching the game, West Ham included players like Green, Tomkins, Ilunga, Parker, Noble, Nolan, Piquionne, Taylor who have all played quite a bit in the Premier League, yet they didnt look that good... Allardyce's long ball style was also evident.

Its early days, I thought for the most part, we looked very good yesterday, we just had lapses in concentration, notably defending set pieces, and just didnt have the luck infront of goal, as chances were created, we just either hit the woodwork, or didnt get the shot off quick enough.

Bit more fine tuning is needed for us.

Only the first game. If I'm honest, I predicted they would go up, but not comfortably.

Also thought they made some good signings, but ironically enough, it was Miller, who I thought I would have loved to have seen down at Blues. He's a player who looks as though he makes things happen. Look as quick he positioned himself to get the goal, as other players would have blown the chance by wanthing another touch.

As for Wet Spam still think they'll be there or there abouts, but it's always good to watch em lose.

West Ham were poor... alot of back to front football, which will no doubt displease the west ham supporters who like to see there teams play some good football.

BUT it was only the first game of the season and they will improve.. as will we.. still fancy them for automatic and us for play off's .

KRO

*EDIT*

The Cardiff fans were hilarious , chanting "USA...USA" to Rob Green, when Whittingham was about to take a free kick :LMAO:

Sullivan will talk about armageddon if they don't win all their games from now on and launch a 'save our season' campaign next time they are at home
