Birmingham are giving a trial to Brazilian midfielder Radames da Silva and are set to sign free agent Anthony Gardner.

Da Silva, whose previous clubs include Fluminense, is in line to play in a practice game against Spurs tomorrow.

The 25-year-old had an unsuccessful trial at Stoke last week and was recommended to Blues by Potters boss Tony Pulis.

Gardner, 29, is available on a Bosman after leaving Hull and will replace defender Scott Dann, left out of Saturday’s defeat at Derby.

Relegated City have been ordered to sell the £8million-rated centre-back by the end of the month by their worried bankers HSBC.

Radames da Silva... Sorry, but WHO? Was his last club in the 4th tier of Brazilian football?

Anthony Gardner would be good cover/competition at centre half.

Scott Dann rated at only £8m? A farce, and we'd be complete mugs letting him go for that fee, so i expect that to be true.

That would be my starting position, and then hope Arsenal and Liverpool have a bit of a bidding war.

It would be nice of them to finally allow Hughton to move away from the Bosman and loan market in search of a signing.

Sick of seeing the Mirror use the 'Bank HSBC is forcing Birmingham to sell Dann' line

It's another James Nursery story ..zz.. ..zz.. ..zz..

The Anthony Gardner stuff has been around for the best part of a week, the Brazilian stuff is new but who cares and the constant stuff about Dann is now irritating. The HSBS line is just the standard line that seems to be in any story that he writes about us, and it’s already been proven to be rubbish.
