The Blues can confidently predict that they will take 1000 supporters to away games this season, yes? There are 23 away fixtures (min) this season. Why don't they issue away seat tickets to guarantee fans well into the season their seats and take the money now, instead of releasing a few into the season (eg the the next two matches are available if we are lucky). They could issue at least 500-1000 confidently for any away fixture. Look at the finances of doing so : 1000 seats at £20 to 23 matches = £460,000. What business wouldn't want this much advance sales sitting in there account. And bear in mind Derby was 4000 last week...We could buy our away tickets for Cov City on 10 March or Brighton 21 April (weekend away) now and not worry about it. Ticket vouchers bought now could be surrendered for the actual ones nearer the time. Add to this cost of coaches for additional peace of mind. Anyone looking for a Commercial Manager? |

It's the guarantee of seeing the match that makes it work. If you got tickets for Saturday and it is postponed you don't ask for your money back. |

Doesn't the money for away tickets go straight to the home team? |

What I'm saying if you wanted to go and see Peter Kaye in Manchester next June, the tickets are available and you can plan accordingly. Ticketmasters have got your money and you're happy. If you want to see Blues V Brighton in April you have to wait until the end of March and hope you get tickets. It seems daft in today's leisure focussed era that football is still in the dark ages. :box: |

it does work guys, albion have done it for years, there are 1500 away season ticket holders. you buy the season ticket at the start of the season for a set price and then when the tickets go on sale you are guaranteed a ticket. and just pay the balance if any when you get your actual ticket. the money is paid up front and albion keep it in their bank until they have to pay the opposing club. just one rule, you cant have an away season ticket unless you have a home season ticket. if you cant make a particular game there is always someone who will buy your ticket. it really does work. |
