Hey, Thought I'd keep everyone updated for the people that aren't on twitter and are interested in the surroundings, build up to the game etc!

Arriving:
Andy Walker
"Surprise, surprise. The first face staring back at you when you arrive at Funchal Airport is Cristiano Ronaldo. Advertising a bank. #BCFC"

Check In:
Birmingham City FC
"Chris Hughton's squad will now check into their hotel before heading for a training session at the Estadio de Madeira this evening. #BCFC"

View from the hotel:
Andy Walker
"It's not a bad view from the Melia Madeira Mare Resort. Off to the stadium in a mo." http://desmond.yfrog.com/Himg740/scaled.ph...e=640&ysize=640

First Training Session:
"Birmingham City FC
Blues have arrived at the Estadio de Madeira ahead of their evening training session. Much cooler up here: http://t.co/KlDx5Jh

Dugout:
"Birmingham City FC
Where Chris Hughton & his squad will take their seats tomorrow evening. The gaffer has a presser later with local media." http://t.co/wlepGrZ

Cool Scarves :D:
Birmingham City FC
"C.D. Nacional have these commemorative scarves for sale in their club shop:"
http://t.co/othixpy

Blues Training Ground:
Birmingham City FC
"This is the training centre next door to the Estadio da Madeira. Thick mist descending on Blues' workout session here.
http://t.co/KWfw1gJ

Andy Walker buys Nacional Shirt!:
Andy Walker
"I've only gone & bought myself a C.D. Nacional shirt. Now means I'll have to continue the ritual should Blues progress"
http://t.co/mdAA8Dz

Misty Weather:
Andy Walker
"Me, @Chris_Kershaw and Mr @thegoalzone taking in the misty view at the Estadio da Madera: #bluesineurope" yfrog.com/h7y1yuej

And that's as much as they've posted so far!

This is the airport they landed at, one of the most dangerous in the world according to Tom Ross. You can see for yourselves why.

That part of the runway on stilts was actually an extension of the runway

Built after an Air Portugal jet skidded off the end and into the drink back in the 70's

Yes, it is considered in the Top Ten Most Dangerous Airports List along with Gibraltar and the old Hong Kong airport (Kai Tak)

Not as hairy as this (St Maartens in the Caribbean)

Brazillian sriker Diego Barcellos will be fit to face Birmingham in the Europa Lge 1st Leg play off.

Nacional will create chances so Blues defence must hold strong?

Dont be suprised to see Dann & Redmond start

The problem is if they play Dann he will be inelgible for all European competition this season

That may dissuade Arsenal as they could end up in the Europa League

And of course it would put off Spurs and Stoke as well

Internet feeds usually come from tv so I'd be astounded if you could view it online at all given that not even RTP Madeira is showing it. Best bet is an off air feed - you'd need to know a Sat expert for that.

What time is Kick Off our time? Is it 19:45 as it says on our site, because I know Spain has a +1 Time zone so I guess Portugal has it too.

I doubt playing Dann in the Europa League will affect his sale. I can not see Arsenal caring that he is cup tied, if they end up in the Europa League they will just play the kids and concentrate their efforts on the PL. I think we should play him and give Caldwell a rest.

They do care about him playing in europe, the deal could be off if he does play and we need the money.
