What you nit picking for?
do you want to watch the blues or sit and listen to the radio.. I know what the majority would rather do... People asked a question & the people have responded.
If you dont like it delete the thread or stop your moaning.

George are apparently 50/50?
Lodge is a defo as thats where i'll be heading... Spoke to the gaffer just he said even if he has to stream it through a laptop instead of playing it through the sky he will have it on as blues games are his biggest takings with the lodge being a blues pub. Got all the championship games to he reckons
I am sure the boss of that pub will well pleased you are telling an open forum that he is openly breaking the law.
Not illegal to show aslong as its an private event... Tickets only but tickets are free. That what the sign outside the pub on the car park says.
Really maybe you should read this http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/L...tail/story.html

If you look on the date of that article....
You will also see that a Portsmouth landlady took to court over the same claims, argued it up to the European Court of Rights, SINCE that article, and the ongoing investigation means that in the time being there is nothing against pubs showing games.
If she wins the battle, then it will be completely legal for pubs to have the special boxes in their pubs, and show these games, and they cost around 1/10th the cost of Sky I believe.
The main reason for her argument, is market share, as its Sky, or nothing, and there is no choice for people to watch these 3pm KOs that cant get to the game.
So, see you guys at the Tavern later! :D :lager:

I don't think it has mate. this article is from June 2011
My point is we all know pubs show these games. but its usually to regulars they can trust not posting it on an internet forum for all to see.
Online consumer groups have criticised government plans to block websites that stream copyrighted material for free.
It follows a meeting last week between communications minister Ed Vaisey, internet service providers and copyright holders. Campaign group, The Open Rights Group (ORG) is angry that its request to attend the meeting was turned down. It called for more public debate on the issue. Web blocking is seen as a way to combat the increasing amount of copyrighted material that is being streamed for free online. ORG said that it has learnt that part of the discussion was about setting up a "council" that could be given the power to decide which websites were blocked. Censorship Jim Killock, executive director of the ORG is a vocal campaigner against the measures being proposed. He said: "It is unacceptable for trade groups and the government to conduct policy in this way. Censorship proposals must be discussed in public. Many of us will oppose any censorship that impacts directly and widely on free expression." There are no details of how the "councils" would be made up, but consumer group Consumer Focus, who was at the meeting, warned that it would be inappropriate for right holders to decide which UK websites should be blocked. The plans are part of the Digital Economy Act (DEA) which allows for mandatory web-blocking. Any web blocking plan would require secondary legislation. The group of copyright holders behind the plans titled as 'Addressing websites that are substantially focused on infringement' included the Publishers Association, the BPI, the Football Association Premier League and the Motion Picture Alliance. Live streaming If the proposals get the go-ahead it could allow the Premier League to block access to live streams of its football matches. Consumer Focus argued in the case of streamed football games, blocking would be a "disproportionate" response. "We believe that the first step to address this problem is to assess whether consumers' evident demand for streaming football games online is met by legal services." In response to the criticism, a spokesperson from the Department for Culture Media and Sport issued a statement: "The Government hosted a useful discussion between ISPs and rights holders on issues around industry proposals for a site blocking scheme to help tackle online copyright infringement. "Consumer representatives were invited and Consumer Focus attended the meeting."

Yeah, unlike us lot, they aren't getting a link, they have satelitte boxes with thousands of channels that show all these games, and you sometimes have to adjust the satelitte to get them :D

The fact that the Mail is running a large story reporting from a pub showing the game on an illegal feed makes a mockery of the satelite police on this thread.

The fact that the Mail is running a large story reporting from a pub showing the game on an illegal feed makes a mockery of the satelite police on this thread.

So the mail has commended a pub for running an illegal feed?
1) Was it an illegal feed or a satellite channel? 2) Did they mention "We're here at X Pub who are showing an illegal feed"? 3) was the piece about fans/pub or illegal feed?
Before you mock, check your facts because there's a huge difference

Roccco do not have it...
100% pubs that are showing:
The george Solihull lodge Behans Bar
:D :lager:
Oh so screening legal TV and not feeds. I got the wrong end of the stick
Yeah, unlike us lot, they aren't getting a link, they have satelitte boxes with thousands of channels that show all these games, and you sometimes have to adjust the satelitte to get them :D
Thats fine then **thumbup cleared up for me **thumbup
