myhill - 7...cope well with little to do

Carr - 6...usual self

davies - 9...simply immense and a world class tackle to deny a certain goal

caldwell - 6...shakey but competent

murphy - 7...dealt with everything that came his way

ridgewell - 6...unfamilliar position and dodgy touch at times, good otherwise

redmond - 7...fleeting bright sparks from our future messi

spector - 6...looks slightly suspect

burke - 6...couldnt really get into game, some decent runs

beasujour - 6...done a job, lost ball to many times

wood - 7...should have scored but held line well

Davies 9 for me. He was unbelievable. He could be a real gem for our season and could better what Johnson did for us. KRO!!!!

Myhill - 6

Carr - 6

Davies - 9 MOTM

Caldwell - 7

Murphy - 6

Burke - 7

Spector - 6

Ridgey - 6

Beausejour - 8

Redmond - 7

Wood - 8

Special mention for the four attacking players (Burke, Redmond, Beausejour, and Wood), and Man of the Match, Davies (he looked a world class centre half tonight).

Beausejour given the freedom to attack from either wing and/or the middle throughout a match makes him far more dangerous than just wide left... Play him as a roaming centre attacking midfielder.

Can't agree more man **thumbup

Bojangles, rather than Nathan is looking to be the jewel in our crown. Versatile, agreeable to change of role and has the experience to carry it off.

Nathan - many people's fave rave like, was a bit lost in the first half - even had people denying he was on the pitch :D - not because of an agenda, just that he didn't adapt to a new role. Till 80 minutes in when he seemed to realise.

Whereas Bojangles did from the start.

Experience versus Inexperience I suppose. But, it will come.

My marks would be 7 for eveyone ( bar 2 ), and that allows room for improvement.

But 8 or 9 for Curtis and Stevie Carr.

I sincerely hope that we don't accept cr@p bids for either of them.

Accepting the fact I only saw second half, I thought Beausejour was hopeless
His late freekick quite as bad as anything I have seen!
He half heartedly chipped it over the wall and it bounced into keepers hands!
Admittedly he has lost half a stone but overall havent seen anything to shout about.
But I will keep an open mind!

I didn't see the match but a lot of people have said how well Beausejour played. Tatts had him as Blues Man of the match in his ratings.

I watched it, he played well. Was a complete handful.

And considering he was playing in a make shift team who haven't played that much together he, like the rest did real well

sorry mate but beau was superb for the whole of the match.

the weak links were spector (not 100% fit yet) and Redmond (tired second half)

i'm not having a go at Redmond as he was playing in a unfamiliar.

Ok
Must have imagined that free kick then!
Anyway onwards & upwards Beausejour and all!

TBF I am a bit prejudiced as was at stoke as guests of stokies in their box and they were howlin over his debut for us. Quite the worst I can recall and havent really seen him light up the place since!

Spot on about Beausejour, but I thought Redmond was better in the second half than first, he gained confidence in trying to dribble round opponents, and pulled it off well! Fair play to them both.

Curtis Davies was MOTM though, superb again.

So you think he played poorly because of one free kick?

BTW You didn't imagine it.

That freekick was poor, and some of his distribution lacked at times.
But he showed quality running with the ball and put in miles on the pitch that would have even impressed McBoring.
He was closing down and harrying oponents right up to the end of the game.
Well done Beau!!!

I've been critical of Davis, but man oh man the timing of THAT tackle was world class and the game pivoted on it. To me it looked like the fight went out of Nacional at that point. I was straight on the text to my mate and my son who weren't able to watch the game and bigging him up at that point

What is there not to get? He's a very important player for us who is versatile, strong and dangerous, who works hard for the team and always gets his head down and does the job. He's honest and covers for Ridgewell without question. A proper player. He's one of my favourite players and has been for a while now :)

He's quality and once he gels with this new team he will go from strength to strength. Should of had at least 2 assists the last 2 games. He will be our best winger this season and Redmond could really learn a thing or two from him. KRO!!!!

He ripped Derby's defense to pieces In the opening game, he had a quiet game against Coventry but was still pretty good, and It sound's as If he was quality the other night against Nacional.

He will be a big, big player for us this season.
