My mate who is still in Maderia just dropped me a text, asking to check on the net etc if the game is in jeopardy on Thursday.....

I haven’t posted a topic on here for yonks, but I can't see anything on net at the moment so thought I'd ask.....

Reason for the game being in question is that CD Nacional 'apparently' can't afford to bring the team to England and locals are saying Blues will receive a bye in the competition.....Might all be rubbish, but thought I'd ask if anyone else was aware?

Now that would be funny. I doubt it though.

Celtic may be getting a bye owing Sion playing 4 ineligible players in last nights game, maybe that is what is confusing matters?

I think they would have known if they couldn't afford it before the 1st leg was even played, because if that was the case we wouldn't have played that game either...

by all accounts the CD Nacional owner is wealthy but runs a tight ship - so wont be no problems them coming over to brum for the 2nd leg
