Wasn't that bad, we played well first half but the Europa League game took its toll in the second half and we looked knackered at the end. Very worrying how thin our squad is tbh.

Same thing all over again...played well for 45 mins....played s*h *i*t the other 45 mins. OK we played last Thurs BUT other teams played last Thurs & they ALL have to have 2 day break till they play again. We have 16 first team players including (CJ Zigic & King) & thats it. I cant see many more coming in so what will it be like when we have played 14 / 20 games ????

1. you never once said might. 2. They played Thursday night miles away, returning to the UK Friday. They would not have had time to prepare properly for today. 3. Fitness will improve, a lot of these players haven't had a full preseason with Blues. 4. We are selling players to ENSURE the future of the club. CY has ****** things up royally, but at least they are doing the best they can to ensure we have a very low wage bill for the coming year. 5. 8000-12000? Haven't we sold around 12k season tickets alone? 6. We all knew that we were going to be up against it financially, and we would have to get rid of players on Prem wages. 7. Even if we had a lack of players, the club doesn't just shut down because of a lack of first team availability! Emergency loans, youth team etc etc... 8. Judge us after the transfer window closes.
In summary, CY needs to go really, as he is just trouble, but there is not a cat in hells chance the club will not be around by Christmas.
With regard to players leaving, I would prefer to get rid of players now and ensure the survival of the club, and rebuild over the next 2-3 seasons using young players with cheap wages. Just look at Derby.
whilst i agree with you i do disagree with the fact about not being around by Christmas - although i think it won't it can happen. it really depends who big a hole is in our finances but things can spiral very quickly and the IR are eager to shut down a club and make an example of them. unfortunately people outside Birmingham seem to have very little sympathy for the club like they do a Portsmouth, Wrexham etc. :blues: unfortunately people outside Birmingham seem to have very little sympathy for the club like they do a Portsmouth, Wrexham etc. Would you like to explain this statement please
When people post a thread why do 'other people' NOT under stand the comment & have to ask the question ... 'Can you explain this comment'. If the thread is to hard for some of you to under stand then go back th reading your comics etc or get you mom to explain it. :LMAO:
It's nothing to do with not understanding, it is just that you are quite obviously unable to make a clear point, and would prefer to just come out with negative soundbites. I did not repeat what you said at all. You said very little. I imagine that season ticket holders will go most weeks, no matter how badly we are doing. They have already paid after all. We have already shown more potential for attacking flair than we did most of the time under AM. Remember when we got promoted last? Remember the terrible performances? remember the poor attendances? I said a lot different to you. Anyway, we lose away at one of the best teams in the league, and now we are going to lose 'week in week out'? Get real! Even with Carr, Davies, Caldwell and Ridgewell, that is pretty much one of the best defensive units in the league. If we add a couple more for depth before the window shuts, than we should be fine. We are not going to do great things, but midtable with relatively good football and I think most would be satisfied. Oh yeah, for future reference, it is 'anything', not 'any think'. **thumbup
Middlesbrough 1 one of the best teams in the league???????????
They finished 12th last season 13 points off the play-offs and 14 points off relegation
They have bought 4 new players in this season so far 3 free transfers and 1 loan player, and let 8 go and have financial problems like ours.
They will be a mid-table side at best who still had a stronger more fit side than ours. This is a bad result for us and shows the reality of how hard our season is going to be and a real eye opener for me, we lost to a side, we need to able to match for 90 minutes if we have a chance of surviving in this league.
And if we were to lose to Watford, then that may well show us our true level we are playing at

Ginger b******d ruined this club
i take it you're referring to McLeish... what a load of rubbish - stop trying to blame those no longer here and look closer to home at the owners / Directors who have allowed our club to get into the state we're in!!!
We wouldn't be in this mess if McLeish hadn't got us relegated through shocking tactics, team selection and woeful loans. I DO BLAME HIM !!!!!!!!!!!
I blame him and the owners...
Those loans we got in werent Mcleish's first choice at all, the owners couldnt secure most of our top targets.
But Mcleish's style of football and tactics were awful.

The match report on the main site clearly highlights we were unlucky at Boro
Of course they might be biased but there you go
http://www.bcfc.com/page/MatchReport/0,,10412~57922,00.html
Get Zig, Jerome or King back in the side and sign another central defender and central midfielder and watch us go

Leicester City are the hot favourites after spending millions.......they dropped two points again yesterdsay after being two goals up in a massive regional derby ' 'They have also lost both their home games so far
West Ham (also major contenders) have only taken one point from six at Upton Park
And here we are........The Pessimistic Core of Blues Doom Merchants banging their heads against the wall again
It's too funny for words

Based on the first half we deserved to walk it. Based on the second half we deserved to lose by 5.
It is clear that our first team is one of the strongest teams in the championship, but we have the strength in depth of a league 2 side. Why we haven't secured for some cheap loans to bolster the depth of the team yet, even if they are just as backup players i do not know since many Premiership clubs will be wanting to give players not ready for the prem experience

no, not really as i do not think it needs much explanation but in order to save some sarcastic reply i guess i will...
if you've been a Blues fan for many years, and i'm assuming you have, then i think you will have seen that the national media appears to have very little time for Blues and whilst they might report that the threat of us going into administration would be a travesty for supporters i do not think they would have too big an issue with us going bump.
Wrexham had the backing of few ex-players willing to chip in a few bob and Portsmouth & Sheff Weds seemed to evoke memories of what could have been but i just don't think that would be a case for us.
at times our fans have behaved appallingly, to our detriment, and i wouldn't expect a great deal of sympathy out there. i recall the BBC saying how one day they expect a big(ish) league club to go out of business and they mentioned Blues in passing and it didn't seem to bother those discussing it.
just an opinion.

i actually thought they look disinterested rather than tired... ten minutes to go and not one player was running to get the ball back into play when the ball went out for a throw-in...

Sad muppet? Wow, you obviously dropped out of school early!
You have zero argument, zero banter. You are quite obviously semi literate, and obviously have an agenda of doom.
Boro finished last season fantastically, including a 3-0 away win at Cardiff. They have got their act together. They are also 4th favourites to win the league.
But don't let facts and knowledge get in the way of your ill-informed opinions.

Well said, yes of course I am dissapointed we lost today, but we have our 3 top strikers out injured, as well as two of our 3 first choice central midfielders..
Once we get King ,Jerome and Zigic back along with Gomis and add two or three others we will climb the league. As you have rightly pointed out leicester have been poor so far as have West ham and they both have their strongest sides available.

He is an average championship keeper and for me that should be good enough. Perhaps it is time to give butland his chance.
too soon for Butland; the keeper is one position where experience is definitely an asset.
And how will he gain experience in your opinion?
