A Bluenose called Colin has posted regularly on the BEM Forum since the arrest of CY. Colin is based in Hong Kong, has established contacts within the financial and legal world over there and previous information he has provided has proven to be exceptionally accurate and reliable. I have posted some of his BEM Posts on here previously which have been acknowledged by others for their credibility.

Since then the BEM Forum has been 'frozen' and the decision at this stage is that it is to eventually be closed permanently. This is due mainly to the Forum being hi-jacked by fans from other Clubs who enroled in abusive and argumentative exchanges.

However the contact with Colin remains via an alternative source and his latest information, although rumour based, is copied here for your consideration and response. Colin has taken this 'approach' before and appears to do so for his own protection regarding potential libel allegations - in a similar manner to newspapers using the word 'alleged' - rather than to state 'this is actual fact':

This is only a rumour so please treat it as such. It comes from a legal friend of mine so I give it clear credibility. He tells me that there is speculation that Mr Yeung's legal team are seeking some kind of plea bargaining before facing court again at the end of the month. While he says that no data is available it is his considered opinion that it would involve Mr Yeung pleading guilty to lesser charges, accepting a very significant fine and possibly a minimal or suspended jail sentence. The quid pro quo could possibly involve Mr Yeung providing information relating to others, but again that is speculation.

Such action would be considered sufficient for Mr Yeung to be debarred from holding any formal directorship in Hong Kong or Mainland China. I presume that this would debar him from being considered a "fit and proper person" to own a football club in Britain.

Although my friend would in no way confirm it he implied that Mr Yeung may not be the only person connected with BIH in trouble. I, for one, will be glad when this whole sorry episode is over.

On a final note - and a most strange one at that - my friend finished his comments with the phrase "if you think that Birmingham and Hong Kong provide fertile grounds for rumour, look to Singapore". I offer it only because it was there. He didn't and wouldn't say what he meant and I have absolutely no understanding of it. Accept, dismiss or play with it as you wish. Col.

Although I offer the above in it's raw state on an alleged basis without any assurances, previous information from Col has proven to be correct.

The following is a Link to his previous Post in respect of CY's appearance in Court earlier this month:

If you choose to read all of the Posts in this Thread you will note that at no time does anyone criticise or question the credibility of the information from Col - that will give you an indication of the level of respect commanded by him and his previous submissions.

I'm glad of the update from Col via others. I've found his postings, so far, insightful in as much as they explain situations with Asian business that I personally have only little experience of.

It's interesting to note the plea bargaining stuff as that might be something that would satisfy the authorities and bring an end to this chapter.

From my understanding we as a club and BIH as our overlords need to find a resolution to this situation fast. The suspension of shares and therefore trading must be casting severe doubt on the reputation of the company in HK which in turn does our good name no benefit.

I suppose the challenge is to deal with the CY situation and the ramifications of it in a way that sees some capital coming back into the business. I would assume by the above that this would spell an end to to Yeungs involvement with BIH and ultimately BCFC? It would be interesting to know if he is responsible for selling his shareholding, if it's the case that he has to let go of it, or it's the Chinese/HK authorities that take temporary ownership of them.
