Released - the board didn't take up his 1yr option and he didn't accept the offer of a 1yr contract. Still training with Blues apparently.

Can't believe we haven't got him on a rolling contract, month-by-month.

We're desperately short upfront and he could also play the role between midfield and attack. I've always like McFadden, despite him being very frustrating. I find it suprising he hasn't got a club yet ... teams like Blackburn could do a lot worse, but maybe his agent is looking for silly money for him.

We chose not to take up the 1 year extension option on his contract, probably due to his wages, Because he was injured while playing for us, our medical team are under obligation to get him fit again so he can find another club.

He is a free agent. We didn't take up the option, did not agree a revised deal.He is training with us but we are under no obligation to provide his medical treatment as he is no longer on contract to BCFC

Is he fit? Have you ever been off work sick. When you returned did you work for nothing?

For a start its not a real job like mine, he only has to play football, its an f*ing game.....there lies the problem with this country,He should put some boots on and say ok, I'll give it a go.

Did Tom Ross say we've offered a NEW contract to him, i.e. since CH has come in?

Interesting prospect. Would be fantastic if he re-signed - come on Fadds we need you more than ever!

Fadds put his home on the market back in February/March time.

About 3/4 months into his injury lay-off.

For a person coming towards the end his contract - (with a 'one-year-option' he could refuse...to put his home up for sale 6 months earlier?)

Come on friends :ph43r:

I like Fadds and when I read months ago, on this forum that he was selling up, it didn't need a sledgehammer to make me realise that he had alternative ambitions.
I half-hoped that McLeih's loyalty to him would delay any pursuit of that "alternative" ambition

No criticism of him, he has gone about it diplomatically and correctly. But that was an early indication.

Robbie Savage on the other hand was upfront (and took the abuse) and put his home on the market after he'd moved clubs. Fadds did it pre-meditated imo.

He wasn't going to accept the option, whether on current wages (if we stayed up) or on a new contract if we went down.

Whatever the reason was, for him to organise his domestic arrangements for a move....it seems it hasn't worked out.

So far.

So, I hope we are charging him for the use of Wast Hills, the physios and the support, he is getting -
Time which could be better used on players who want to be at Blues.imo.

For every hour Fadds involves a physio - our staff - on his conditioning and fitness - at Wast Hills, is an hour less that they could be spending with players who belong at Blues.

If he is paying for treatment and support - I apologise.
If he is paying for his own support staff and paying for the use of our facilities - sorry Fadds. **thumbup

Somehow I doubt it. So, it looks like the "ambition" didn't work out. He's in limbo at the moment, like over 400 other pro's.

According to Rob Segal ( leading football agent) this year has seen the biggest panic amongst players who want a move, don't want the fringe of a squad...and nobody is buying. Include Fadds in that.
