Braga here we come!
We set off this Friday. Train to Aberdeen then get lift on trawler to Stockholm. Catch the ikea express to Amsterdam. Bike ride to Munich (scenic route) Then fly to Lisbon and get bus to Porto. Hitchhike to Braga.
We should be there the day before game.

You can higher coracles in South Wales.

I think Shrewsbury don't hire them anymore.

Should take about two weeks, if the sea is fair to middlin'

Then on landfall, you hitch. (Depends on where you paddle off from though - you might end up in Brighton - best ask Migs, he's into these wet things.)

Good luck mate **thumbup You'll need a couple of sickdays to get back level again :)

Yes, in June I caught a warship that took me to the Gulf where I've been ever since, then in late November it's dropping me off in Lisbon and I'm making my way to Braga by train.

Mick,

We are doing the same sort of thing! Flying from Luton on the Tuesday at 16:50, stopping in Madrid for the night before a 09:15 flight to Porto!
Train up and down to Braga for the game then stop in Porto on the night. Fly back to Madrid early hours Thursday morning before an immediate flight back to Luton!
Happy days, can't wait for
It!!!

The man himself is long retired as he has a partner and son now. Shag would say yes but the real answer is no. He's a big lad and his mom bought him this ridiculous jumper one year for exmas, it was identical to that of shaggy from scooby doo. His dress sense was not the best and he wore this jumper all the time. He later bought a dog called dave who now wheres this jumper. Sorry mate not the saucy story you were looking for.

6 hour drive and border crossing Monterrey, Mexico to McAllen Texas. Flight 1 Mcallen to Houston, flight 2 Houston to New York, Flight 3 New York to Birmingham, flight 4 Birmingham to Brussels, Flight 5 Brussels to Porto then a cab. Same return route. So no noisy f---ers in the Basic Braga please.

It seems as though this route has proved too much for the doff.....big rumour he has pulled out of the trip due to fear of travel sickness :crying:

:fishing: As I am unfortunate to know the doff quite well, in the doff's "Tongue" his last quote about shuttle bus from Northampton should have read "WWWIDICULOUS" - the blinky "any muppet can play right back" ****
