:applause:

Seriously - Yes.

I know the cr@ppy ridden London journos, tried to portray him as a renegade.
As they do with Rooney, Tevez, Carroll, Barton ( before London),Adebayour ( now acceptable again- being back in London- :) ), Bentdnar (now a joke - being outside London) and so on....

But Ballotelli is a really gifted player, has a sense of humour - sometimes on the pitch. **thumbup

Not completely Gazza, but pretty close imo.

When Man City played LA Galaxy in pre-season - Mancinin had another one of his fits when Ballotelli stopped and gently back-heeled the ball to the Galaxy keeper.

Immediate sub by the foaming Mancini.

It took Beckham's post match interview to explain that Ballo knew he was off-side and stopped and pased the ball back to the LA keeper as the linesman flag went up.

No apology from Mancini after his rants and fuming about Ballo.

Very similar to his "version" of Tevez refusing to play, when Tevez claims he only said, "I've just warmed up - no need to warm up again"

Balloteli isn't the problem at Man City - he's brilliant.
Under a manager with nous and tolerance, say Bobby Robson or even now, Redknapp, the guy would thrive.

Under a prima-donna manager like Mancini, he will only get bad comments, and the London based journos will lap it up.

Just like they do on Terry's, Lampard's and Cole's misfortunes -

Well perhaps not.

If you play for a London team, you have some kind of equalising factor in the bull-pen. of journos and stringers.
Don't rubbish Spurs'players or we'll rubbish gooners etc...

But - they can all agree that -
If you are North of Watford, then you are disgrace to football. **thumbup

Warming to him big time and even with the other strikers to contend with at man city you can see him forcing his way into the team permanently.

Love his swagger off the pitch too this guy is perfect for the media he gives them plenty to write about.

He's absolutely brilliant! **thumbup

I'm a long-time member of the fan club, and even occasionally allow myself to dream of a time when Blues could have such a world-class player AND arguably the games most interesting and entertaining characters all in one.

Quality.

He's my type of a player. A character (nutter?) blessed with bundles of skill that oozes out.

He's a cross between Gascoigne and Cantana.

Love him, did you hear about the story of the kid getting bullied at school?....I'll find it...

Quote:

Manchester City star Mario Balotelli has become an unlikely hero after rescuing a bullied schoolboy from his tormentor.

The Sun reports that the Italian striker was asked for an autograph by the young fan at City's training ground, but turned the tables on the lad by asking him why he was playing truant from school.

The boy explained that he was absent because he was being bullied - sparking an incredible reaction from the 20-year-old superstar.

The City ace drove the boy and his mother to the school and demanded to speak to both the headmaster and the bully, during which he apparently mediated as the two boys buried their differences.

The unlikely knight in shining armour - who has hit the headlines all season for a string of on- and off-pitch controversies - then made the pair shake hands before he sped off in his Maserati.

"Mario feels strongly about bullying and thinks it's out of order, " a source told the paper.

"He had no qualms about sorting the mess out as he felt the lad should not be missing out on school."

 Just brilliant.

In an era where the PC brigade are too quick to pounce on anything considered 'mischievious', I think he is great.

I wrote in another thread that now he has some of his 'mates' in the country he is playing with a smile on his face (as he was as miserable as sin last year), so it is good to see.

Certainly Gazza-esque in his attitude... I'd like more players like this.

Cool or Not ?

Posted Image

Probably "Not" - but the guy is a one-off enni ?

When stopped by the police for about the 100th time (because he was black and had a rich car) the Mancie police asked him why he had so much money in his glove box - and he said
"Because I'm Rich"

:LMAO:

Not as a putdown - which many journos took it, but as a blank faced bit of sarcasm.

Terrific bloke - a kid in a man's body -actually most bluenoses would love to be him I'd think.
He has the wit and sarcasm that is lost on many of the uptight journos and protective London media.

Most importantly he is an honest and skilfiull player. (Witness Beckham having to explain to Mancini after the match - when Mancini did one of his OTT performances).

Love him.

Love Him

Love Him

:blues:

He'd be getting slagged off after just 5 minutes......But then of course the fickle Hleb and Bentley haters on here would probably take to him though.....even though he is one of the laziest strikers in the PL at the moment

Good player.....but a Big Time Charlie and he's only at Citeh for a mammoth pay day .....I think he'll shine for a couple of years maybe.....then his big head will become unscrewed again

Prefer honest pros like Ryan Giggs , Joe Hart and Scott Parker TBH

You can't help but just love him. I hope he's palying tomorrow night against Napoli.

I'd never let him use my bathroom though

Suarez at Liverpool is a better all round striker though

Playing for Inter at the age of 18 - in 2009.

Proved Mouhrino wrong, Benitez wrong and now Mancini wrong.

He tends to wind both team mates and his managers up a bit, and of course many anal-retentive observers who just can't see past the mickey-taking and posturing bit. :)

Jeeze....when you spit venom at others who don't support your preachings , you don't let up do you ??

Anal retentive ?? .....why the need for that ??

Get a grip of yourself, man
