I’ll say this, not seen opinions this far apart on a players performance for a long time.

At least we can agree on this. It is very strange how we all see it differently.

It is funny how opinions can vary so much, but when there is no name calling or belittling of other posters opinions it is always interesting to see how other fans perceive players performances ;)

That's one thing I've noticed about the forum recently. More intelligent debate without all the name calling. I think what CH has done and the way the team is playing has made us all feel better.

Centre midfield is definately not up to the standard of the rest of the team.
I beleive this will change when Jordan Mutch returns.
We all know the squad is weak once you get past the first 13 or so players so January will see what committment the board has.
Ridge and Zigic don't look interested to me but we must keep Beausejour.

Thought N'Daw had a good game last night - a shaky first half like they all did, but a commanding and confident second half that was very nearly capped off by a wonder goal. He put in some superb challenges, won the ball on countless occasions and played simple passes around the field.

I used to love Mooney, but I'm not too sure of his footballing knowledge based on his silly comment last night.

He was worth it just for the one shot in the second half. Did give the ball away too often though.

Mooney was way off the mark, to be fair it wasn't Tom Ross.

I thought he had a good game, some fantastic tackles and a great shot that the keeper just got to.

He hasn't played many games so has to blend in a bit.

Mooney your out of order for your anti blues outburst against N'daw, sorry but with you punditing - bring on radio WM :banghead:

I thought the wardrobe brought a little bit of steel to our midfield he tackle on their N0 6 made my eye's water and I almost felt it in the crowd, after that a lot of their players pulled out of challenges when they saw him coming

I like N'Daw, he gives 100%, everytime i have seen him, he may not be technically gifted but he carries a physical prescence that none of our other centre midfielders have and he won alot of the 50/50 challenges that he went in for last night. His passing improved in the second half after a sloppy start by all. I cannot believe Mooney labelled his performance as one of the worst he had seen in a Blues shirt???? If anyone was poor last night and it pains me to say it, it was Zigic........ he had a couple of good chances last night and he fluffed them, overall he didnt win much in the air and looked like the Zigic that began the season last year after we had just signed him :ph43r:

N'daw was awful last night, i have never seen players go past a centre mid so easy. 5 yard passes straight to opposing team. passes going out of play. Mistimed tackles. SHOCKING fist touch. Dont be blinded by the comeback. He was rubbish

I think your find there was 2 players in central midfield , the 1 you missed out was worse eg: 2nd goal - made no effort to track any player back and just jogged , not picking on fahey but during the first half made a point of watching him move about the park , worst fault was when a blues player got the ball he moved closer to the player ( within yards ) but not into any room for a pass and lay off to work ! , got to give N'daw a chance -both holding midfielders :blues:

Seems about the right assessment. Mooney's comments were farcical, for a so-called expert on the game to have so little appreciation of the role of a player was jaw dropping. No, N'Daw wasn't spraying passes around like Glenn Hoddle in his pomp, but then Claude Makelele never played a pass further than ten yards in his career if he could help it, and he was a far, far more successful player than Hoddle.

N'Daw's brief was simple. Put himself about, get the ball, give it to someone better than him in a blue shirt. First half he didn't do that particularly well, mostly due to the speed with which Brugge were closing our players down and the static nature of the Blues team. Second half he did it very well.

I am struggling to see why he's not in the box for corners though, he was always last man back. With his physical presence I'd expect to see him going up and occupying one of the oppositions better headers of the ball.

He's the only player who actually responds to the " **** them up, get into em" chant, his tackles get the crowd going, and they were a sign of intent as someone previously stated.

And that was the cleanest shot i've seen at St Andys for a long long time.

I don't think we'll be seeing Ziggy hit a shot like that in the near future.

Great goal but I did say the near future and not the distant past. If he does that for Blues I will happily eat large portions of humble pie.

Tommy Mooney, have a word with yourself!

I had a text from my bro (exiled in Sunderland) after 75 mins last night saying 'N'Daw, looks like a young Viera'.

Now, that may be a crass statement, but I can see where he's goinmg with it. I think he's the future, and alongside Mutch can be a real asset. And don't forget he's a legend already for his Bruges away passion/emotion.

There...said it!

Tommy was spot on. He was dreadful. He did one nice 20 yard pass and the shot. Other than that I agree with Tommy, was one of the worst performances down St Andrews for a while. His positioning was all over the place his tackling was poor, he couldn’t even make a few 5 yard passes... should have been sent off as well because how he didn’t get booked for that one tackle I don’t know.

I think you've been smoking what ever Tommy Mooney was on.

I 100% disagree.

I'm not smoking that stuff and I thought he was absolute garbage. One shot and that was his lot, slow, cumbersome, dreadful passing etc.
