Me and my bro where talking about N'Daw last night and commented on what a boss he is in the middle. He puts in proper crunching tackles and picks a decent pass. He's barely played FFS and he's not had a run of games yet people slate him. I'm sick of hearing people wrongfully slating players. He and Fahey did well against the other 3, technically good, players. The only player that really annoyed me last night was Beausejour. His theatrics actually made me cringe a couple of times. |

On the way home heard Ross and Mooney slating N'Daw when a caller rang got say how good he was. After watching the recorded game on ITV4 when I got home and looking out for N'Daw to see what Ross and Mooney were on about, I can honestly say that I haven't got a clue. I counted about 3 stray passes from N'Daw the whole recording and agree with those that say he had a decent game. He broke up plenty and although was not incisive in his passing, made most of them without putting others in a bad position, unlike some I can mention. If we had a playmaker next to him instead of Fahey then i think we would have a decent combination. |

He's something we lack in league games, a physical, imposing presence in the midfield, not afraid to put a foot in. Yeah, some of his passing was wayward (but so was everyone elses, Brugge's aswell to be honest)... and a couple of tackles were mistimed... but you cant win every tackle. However he played his part for us, held the midfield together, stayed solid, helped out Caldwell and Ibanez when Brugge attacked etc. I was shocked when I heard Mooney say 'thats the worst performance ive ever seen from someone in a Blues shirt'... I can remember plenty worse than him in recent years, yet alone all time. |

Gary Charles, for example. Anyone remember him? Got subbed off before half time once, whole Tilton applauded him off in mockery. Threw a right strop and had his loan terminated! But seriously, impressed with the debate that this sparked - good to see no name calling. I think N'Daw did his brief well last night. He isnt the finished article and maybe the fact he hasn't been great for us thus far made him look all the better last night... The ONLY thing that maddened me about this whole thread was that Zigic video. The passion and aggression in him once he scored that goal was amazing... where has it all gone? :o( |

Yes, I have to admit that I've been very impressed with the level of debate in this topic. As someone said earlier, I can't remember a thread like this one where there are some who say he was very good and others who say he was very poor. It just shows how we all see things in different ways, but it also shows that we are capable of debating without name-calling. :applause: And as for Mr Mooney, to say his was the worst performance from a Blues player is way OTT. Say you thought he had a poor game, Tommy, and people might respect your comments more, but I'm sure every Blues fan can think of some much worse performances that that of N'Daw. |

Just out of interest, since we are talking about N'daw, how are you supposed to pronounce his name? |

In fairness to him, considering he hasn't had a run of games, I thought he did ok, and that shot he had....well, it took a world class save to deny him. He has shown flashes of what he is about, so would like to see him maybe get a run in the team. Add to that Murphy too, who does not deserve to lose his place to Ridgewell. |

I thought he played fairly well personally, but I would like to see him get stuck in even more. His shot was brilliant though. |

Perhaps he was a little theatrical, but he makes things happen, he is a game changer and the one player we have who can turn things around like that. Remember, he got the first goal and it was his persistence (and a little over-exageration) that won the penalty. He is a key man for us at the moment - but I think he is looking a little tired after all the games he has been asked to play. |

If we're being honest, N'Daw had a FAR worse game against Braga, and i think the whole defence had a far worse game against Southampton |

What I think we might see come January, if Wood and Zigic depart, is a system away from home where the v fashionable 4-2-3-1 is used, with N'Daw and Gomis bossing things in front of the back four, and then take your pick from the creative guys like Redmond, Beausejour, Mutch, Fahey, Elliot and so on supporting King. Of course I could just be making the whole thing up and spouting nonsence. |

You doing a creative writing course? **thumbup That is not beyond the realms of possibilites imo man. And the joy of blues now, is that when we dream - hope - want, whatever---like it's in tune with Hughton. It's getting uncanny, but when I hope to change things, to keep fighting, to attack and not defend ---normal fan feelings----under Chris Hughton like, we do it. Everyone's dreams or fantasies or hopes or wishes seem to be so close, or similar. I think as fans, we are closer attuned to this manager than ever. It's like we all think the same. :applause: |

I couldnt go to the match so I recorded it. Watched it twice now and (as someone else said) I saw players in a different light without the emotional bias. Thought he had a good game, far from perfect, but the potential is there for him to be a very good holding midfield player. You see, we might also be forgetting how good the opposition were, and how we were allowed to play. |

I dont listen to Tom Ross shows anymore so didnt hear the Mooney comment. If he did indeed say that then his opinions on any football issue should be disregarded. N'Daw was ok the other night. He didnt set the world alight, but Mooney should have been around 20+ years ago and he would have seen some truly awful players. N'Daw is Messi compared to the late eighties/early nineties rubbish. |

He reminded me of that other bloke, what was his name again, oh yeah, Ferdinand Coly. Lots of running around, not a lot of touching the ball or getting a tackle in, and comes from another country. I thought that at the game, and when I watched it on skyplus the next day I thought the same, only I thought it more. If that shot had gone in though he'd be filed under 'L' for 'Legends'. Fickle bunch ain't we... |

IMO N'Daw was a real mixed bag. In the first half I was pretty terrified when he got the ball because he looked like he didnt know where he was (like throughout the Braga game), however in the second half he made some great tackles which led to some chances and firmed us up in the middle of the park. If he was more consistent and retained possession in the first half would have been a shout for Man of the Match. |

2 class passes and one brilliant effort on goal, other than that i thought he was rather poor, tho these little flashes give me confidence that he has the ability to improve, only problem may be his mobility! |

I've just watched the game after recording it. and my views after being there are still the same Ndaw had a good game, some great tackles and passes. Yes a few went astray, but nothing that would say to me he shouldn't be in the team |

N'Daw has looked quite good recently. His loan is up on 5th Jan and he'll probably be missing for a month for the African Cup. I'd still extend the loan. |
