Just bought a ipod cover for my son. Didn't realise until I accepted purchase that the postage is £5! Be aware folks make sure you get your gifts bought at the shop direct. Whats even worse if I want to cancel I have to write to them to cancel the order. By that time the item is delivered then I have to pay to send it back. Watch out for this rip off. :banghead: |

Why £4.99, I work in the postal sector and there is no way that something like that will cost that much in postage, like all businesses its a rip off believe me. |

Whether you agree with the price or not mate, he said he did not know until he accepted the purchase that the postage was £4.99 Which is wrong it clearly states what the total price is inc p&p You then have to tick the box to say you read and accept the terms and conditions which again state the delivery charges. It the states the total price when you enter you cc or debit card to pay for it. |

Yea it does seem a lot but think of it this way...if you had to drive to the shop to buy it and then drive home, how much would it cost you in petrol? Or on bus or train fares? It's not the cheapest price of delivery in the world but at least it's convenient I suppose! At least thinking of it this way stops me tutting and shaking my head! |

It`s for postage and packaging not just postage! Is it any more expensive than any other online store be it asda, tesco, sports direct, jjb? I will answer for you, NO! It is comparable if not cheaper than most. I was going to order the new England rugby league shirt from the official England rugby league on line store as I had a code for a 20% discount however they wanted £6 postage. Sports direct, jjb and jd sports are all £5 delivery unless orders are over £50. All major supermarkets charge £5. It`s not a rip off, it`s clearly stated and the opening poster has made a genuine mistake in missing it and for some reason now feels agrieved. Only yourself to blame mate, sorry! |

The difference is that an iPod cover isn't the same weight or size of a top. I could live with 2 or 3 quid postage but 5 seems a little extreme to me especially given its size. I won't make the same mistake again I'm just saying when your at the match or near the ground get down the shop if your after something. Don't buy online. |

Wether or not it is a rip off is a matter of opinion. However, if you did feel it was a rip off why carry on with the transaction. What your really angry about is the fact you over looked the p&p which, with all due respect, is your error not the clubs. A word to the wise, next time pay attention. |

It`s not feasible to have different p&p charges for different size items therefore a standard p&p for all items is a sensible alternative. Swings and roundabouts, anyone who orders a load of items that are bulky still only pays the £5. |

I agree with the OP. It's not just Blues though, it's internet business per se. What gets me (and this thread shows it) is that people readily accept it. They just have been brought up to accept rip-off Britain. Personally I don't buy over the net. Call me old-fashioned but I prefer to be in a shop, interact with people, touch and feel the product and then pay the actual price the goods is priced at. |

The price of P&P is clearly listed before you made the purchase so you knew it was there. The actual and with this cost, the 4.99 has to cover not only the postal office charges but the time it takes for a person to get the item, wrap it, take it to the postal area etc. It costs us 20 quid to have items sent to Oz, something most of us are quite happy to pay. Again, it's eyes wide open cause it's disclosed BEFORE we make the purchase.l |

That's like saying that when in a shop you should pay more than the listed £12.99 price because the shop has gas and electricity to pay for, rent to pay for, rates to pay for etc. What is wrong with these mickey mouse internet sites just amortising the overheads into the price? |

But they still have gas, electricity & rates to pay for. However, on top they have to pay some one to pick it, pack it, packaging and post. if they amortised it into the cost of the actual goods, they'd look expensive against competitors. |
