Myhill 6, regulation game Carr 6, still driving on Davies 7, rock at the back Caldwell , 7 rock at the back Murphy, 7 Liam who, great move for winner Burke 7, beat 3 in the 1st half, got in some great positions and scored the winner to pick up my sons bet!!!! Fahey, 7 always available, picks up the ball and plays to a Blue shirt, started move for both goals......... AGAIN, 3 bad passes all night Spector 7.5, MOTM, always running , best game in a blue shirt Beau, 6 good goal good positions in 1st half, faded in 2nd Zigic 6, prob best all round game in a blues shirt, but missed 3 free headers, the one in the 2nd half , like the one on saturday was unmissable!!! King 4, not for the miss, but because he was rubbish tonight, in facyt still don't get him or what he brings to the team......Looks unfit. Redmond 7 wanted him one when they scored , lifted the small crowed and tried things. |

Fahey - 4 worst player on the team, offers nothing Beasie - 5 - great first half, poor second half Zigic - 7 - big man linked play up beautifully King - - that miss will traumatize me for the rest of my days subs Redmond - 8 - game changer, played like a "playstation player" Wood - 6 - worked hard |

Fahey has been rubbish for ages but he played much better last night. Not superb but a great deal better. Beaus was again brilliant in the first half and non-existant in the 2nd before being subbed. Im beginning to think he can only play at top speed for 45. King was awful throughout and looked unfit. Last night King, Saturday it was Wood; when we have both strikers firing at the same time we will rip teams like Boro and Burnley apart rather than scraping points at the death. Zig was much improved. Bit like Fahey in that if he hadnt been playing poorly before Im sure more would be much happier with them both last night. Redmond again exciting. Showed no fear and just drove himself and therefore the team forward. A much needed swap for the tired Beaus. Burke was good and like Murphy put the effort in and was rewarded, Thank God! Typical Blues, was a carbon copy of the boro game right down to Beaus giving away the dreaded free kick (in the same place) and the considerably poorer team getting a draw. Would have ended that way again were it not for the late late strike. Again Blues promised so much in the first half before ....................... KRO |

Well with your ratings for Spector and Fahey it makes me wonder what match you were watching. I thought they both played well and probably had their best games this season. Spector played the holding role and put in a big shift. Playing with two wide men means that the central midfield players have to get through a massive amount of work. He never stopped running all night, closed the opposition down and put in some good tackles. I'm normally critical of Fahey but he played the Ferguson role well last night. He's not as good as Ferguson and he still makes some poor passes but he played the simple balls well and tried to get forward more. His shooting was much better too. You can't blame these two if the forwards cannot find the net. |

I didn't go to last night's game but I take it Fahey and Spector , for once, had a decent game. Let's hope that is the start of their season. It does please me that CH is playing with two widemen. It is so entertaining - but where are the goals from our front two? We can't keep on relying on Beau and Burke to entertain us and score the goals. Come on Chris Wood, get you scoring boots on again. And the less said about Zigic the better. PS Sky Sports News repeatedly mentioned King's missed sitter. A clip anywhere? or can anybody describe it? |

Great closing down by Zigic, pinching the ball off the centre half about 25 yards out, the goalkeeper has to come to close down Ziigic who squares the ball to King unmarked about eight yards out in front of an open goal - King side foots it and puts it wide of the post. Absolutely terrible miss. |

Thought Fahey was excellant, wasnt it himin the 91st minute who won the ball in central midfield then wriggled his way away from challenge and swept the ball out to Murph who combined brilliantly with Redmond to make the winner! It was a fantastic passage of play under pressure from a rejuvinated Burnley, the anxiety from the crowd and the ticking clock! Zig looked much livelier but as someone pointed out three headed attempts all bad misses!!! Kings miss...wouldnt have believed it if I hadnt seen it! Curtis Davies gone from zero to Hero! KRO |

Myhill 6 - nothing to do Carr 6.5 - Caldwell - 7 - Didnt think they were particually tested but dealt with everything. Davies Murphy 7 - Better going forward than he is defensively. Burke 7 - Tries a little to much at times but did well. Spector 7.5 - Getting better and better. Fahey 7.5 - Could count his missed passes on one hand although they still got some of the biggest groans of the night, some people forget he made more passes than anyone else on the pitch! Beausejour 5 - Other than his goal was poor again. King 5 - Dissapointing! Zigic - 7.5 - did pretty much everything asked of him, maybe could of done better with a couple of headers but he played some good football. Redmond 6.5 - improvement on Beau ( Ducked out of tackle that was Julian Grayesque but thats the mold of the player ) |

Agree with you Blue Kid on just about everything (Spector not included)but I see you haven't given Davies a rating which is a shame - for me he was MOTM and if there is a better defender than CD in this division let's just say I haven't seem him yet. And yes Zigic was good - provided the ball was on the ground. The guy I was sitting next do suggested someone like Bob Latchord or Mick Harford should give him a few tips because a guy of his size should be an absolute nightmare to play against. Is he too concerned about his good looks to get amongst the centre backs he should be the one dishing it out not the other way round? But all in all he was much much better and at last he looked like a footballer- long may it continue. Astonishing miss by King though. And what does Spector bring to the team? Can anyone help me out here because I'm buggered if I know. Oh and Fahey was pretty good, too. Absolutely insane barge by Beausejour which led to the free which resulted in the corner from which Burnley scored. The guy must have learning difficulties given that he did the same on Saturday in almost the same position. Good goal, one superb pass and the rest was absolute dross- time for Redmond, methinks. |

We are creating so much and not taking the chances (which is good in one way), we are gonna give somebody a right going over, I can feel it coming. :ball: |

Davies was meant to be the same as Caldwell **thumbup On Spector, he doesnt set the world alight but he does the dirty side of the game well and every team needs a player like that. |

Fahey was better last night, but he does let himself down with some brainless and wayward passing, which drive the crowd wild when we are attacking. < < |

Fahey made 3 bad passes last night , I counted them, because I knew he would get stick. He sits in front of the back 4, he has done now since he returned to the team, he is always available and he moves the ball, he sets up everything we do. He gets a real bad press and it is very unwarrented, he is doing an excellent job for our team , the manager thinks so and so does his international Manager, he plays a vital role, we are all saying how good it is playing attacking football , how we are creating and will give a drubbing out one day, how well we played in the 1st half on Saturday, how we set up chances................. We all say that Spector is limited , we are answering our own questions, Fahey is the starting point for all our creative play and has been all season , watch the job he does and the role he plays for the team , not the 3 bad passes per match!!!!!!! |

I agree with you 11th hour- his performance was at the very least acceptable but some people seem to have it in for him big time. Without doubt our midfield needs a bit more muscle though because neither Fahey nor Spector provide it. |

I totally agree mate. I thought Spector had his best game for us last night..seemed to release the ball quicker and he looks a much better player for doing it simple. Fahey did ok for me - he was always available for the ball and he did some things well and some not so well. |

My ratings: Myhill - 7 - Made some good saves to deny Burnley a number of times, but not much else to do. Carr - 6 - Looked a little slow tonight, certainly didn't settle into the game until after 60 minutes had been played. Davies - 9 - Roger and Scott who? Davies was a superb and commanding presence. Caldwell - 7 - Did the basics well, a couple of slips here and there though. Murphy - 7 - Another good game, but slipped a few times and let his man pass him a little too easily at times. Burke -8 - A very good game all-round, made some surging runs, blasted through their back line and linked up well with the forwards. Spector 5 - Went missing for most of the game, very quiet. Fahey - 6 - Had a VERY good first half - but came out in the second looking like a completely different player. May as well have played with 10 men for the second half. Beasie - 6 - Linked up well with Murphy, took his goal very well but gave away the free-kick that Burnley scored from. Zigic - 7 - Played very well last night, made some superb passes and did the simple things with ease, won some headers and generally caused a nuisance. King - 4 - Awful. Truly, truly awful. Missed a chance that was easier to score than miss, constantly drifted wide and didn't bother getting into scoring positions. Why he's being given the nod over Wood (8-9 league goals so far!?) is anybody's guess. Subs: Redmond - 8 - This. Lad. Needs. To. Start. Simple. As. He completely changed the tempo of the game, took players on, beat them with absolute ease and put the ball through for the winner. Wood - N/A - No time to actually make an impact - these late, late, late subs must stop, there's no way a player can make an impact when he's brought on with 3 minutes to go. |

Davies was outstanding yet again, easy MOTM, problem is he must be attracting attention with his performances and will be looked at in January  |
