Let's be honest the football is @@@@.

Whatever the other legitimate reasons for not being there if we were playing exciting free scoring, fast flowing football and whipping the opposition with a realistic chance of going up and the prospect of exciting signings in a few weeks I can categorically assure you there would be a lot more people there.

However, we are a debt ridden club where the loyal supporters have no idea what is going on or where the club is going with hard working but average at best players many of whom clearly don't want to be here (and probably won't be come January) playing some dire football against poor opposition.

We're in a recession, the weather's @@@@ and my missus is going through "the change"!

Merry @@@@@@@ Christmas!

:banghead:

is this the wind up post of the day or the week or the month or the year

the football is better than anything ive witnessed for many many years, the crowd is poor and the atmosphere is worse than under the Alex McLeish..why i ve absolutely no idea and couldnt really care beacuse if the attendance was only 2 people and that is me and my old man sat watching the blues thats enough for me.Anyone who doesnt want to go..dont go..anyone who goes and wishes they hadnt should have stayed at home.I get the impression most people dont actually want to watch the blues they are only interested in who they are playing against.

Bored of Blues Fans and excuses and moans about everything and anything

You are kidding right? The football last night was rubbish, the players looked like I felt which was cold and wondering why I had bothered to trapes my ass to St Andrews. I even think CH had a mare of a game last night. The only thing that was good about the game was we won.

If you cant enjoy the football we are playing seriously you need to give it all up
but if you do keep attending as opposed to supporting then i suggest you take heed of the weather and wrap up warm beforehand

any empty seats at Stans are naturally unwanted
but we must be realistic
Under all of the many adverse circumstances (all of which are well documented here every time the attendance is questioned) the fan base is, in my opinion, backing BCFC big time.
Ive been at Stans with over 40,000 in the ground and ive been there with considerably less than 16,000
Please lets not moan about attendances this year

Why not? it is disgracefull, utterly. All those lot who said when the old board goes when Mcleish goes when we start playing better football, where are they?? certainly not at stans thats for sure.

I get so annoyed as I am certain the clubs marketing strtegy is all wrong, its season tickets we should be focussing on selling and nothing else!
Doing deaLS ON THE DAY IS A TOTAL AND UTTER WASTE OF TIME.
mAKE A s/t SUCH A BARGAIN THAT PEOPLE CANNOT SAY NO!

sCUSE THE CAPS clumsieness not annoyance!!

Well it was my first home match of the season and although it wasn't the greatest match I've ever seen at St Andrews I enjoyed the experience and provided prices are reasonable I'll be back for more.

Have to say I was shocked by the smallness of the crowd, though. I have long argued that a major reason for dwindling crowds was the sheer expense but it looks as if I got that one wrong- I was expecting at least 21,000 plus for last night's game.

curly we have made more noise with 6000 than we did last night..all you can hear are the moans and groans no actual positive support and it p*****s me off, they should just stay away if they cant find it within themselves to support the team.

Even the Block 11 lads are failing to get the Tilton going,as for where i sit in Block 7 well just pointless even bothering.

Agreed B25, I don't understand fans that just sit in silence all game, as if buying a ticket alone constitutes support.

Usually these threads are inundated with posters defending the stay-aways, perhaps the excuses are finally running out?

Have to laugh at the quality of football comment. Delusional.

Whilst I have seen good exciting football this season at StAnds last night was not such an occasion. We were rubbish and Burnley were worse. I love blues and will be there through thick and thin but I am not going lie about what I saw.

Maybe, but there was a fair old roar when got the late winner, B25. Let's face it we've just suffered relegation, not one of us is sure if a single decent player will stay with us after Xmas and the board refuses to communicate with us- small wonder that many are giving up the ghost, eh?

I put it down mainly to TV coverage.

I know we weren't on TV last night, but when we were in the Prem, the lads who stay in the local pubs to watch the game home and away... had the perfext excuses (Gold, Sullivan, GJR, price, etc...).

I think we may of lost many of those for the long term, getting them back is going to be the difficult part.

Prices are better now, I don't think I've paid more than £15 this season apart from my Blackpool ticket this weekend.

I'm considering re-purchasing a season ticket for the 1st time in two year... at c.£250 on interest free payments for the next 6 months it's not a bad deal.

They are the hardcore fans and fair play to them. The players will get equal, if not more support with that 16k there.

And by support do you mean booing?

Wer are trying to play a real passing/possesion game tjhat is focussed on attacking. If people think that doesnt merit support than I am inclined to think its jut another excuse like the not going till Bruce/Sully/Karen/Mcleish goes brigade.
As for those who watch home gamesa in a pub!! Well that doesnt fit any part of being a Supporter that i understand!

Problem is they don't show any home games in any of the pubs I know. People go about the cheapness of the tickets but £18 isn't exactly a steal, is it?

Pretty shocking attendance.

We had a few around the 15k mark in the Championship last time, so its nothing new, but I do wonder where all the fans go from games like Brugges, Braga, Nacional and the Prem.

Not sure what we do about it - because I think the people just clearly aren't interested unless its a big game.

Saying that, we only had one attendance worse than that in the Champ under Bruce - and that was the Stoke game which kicked off at 11.30 on a Sunday and I know alot (myself included) boycotted that game as it was getting ridiculous with moving games for TV.

I find it pretty embarrasing we are now averaging 11th biggest crowd in the Championship. Makes us sound a bit silly claiming we can be a big club - and hardly sells ourselves to new signings.

People have gotten out of the habit of going. We need to get these people back, and the only way I can see this happening is by those of us that are going literally dragging them down there. Hopefully this will get the momentum and they will start coming again

I know. but I could not make it tonight...but that is poor :o

Here are a few reasons

(1) it's a Tuesday night
(2) not everyone can afford every game
(3) some people do not like being in the cold
(4) kids (5-16) will not go to night matches because of education however I go to the Europe ones and im 14

Birmingham, population....1,2 million people.
just over 1%.................
