I thought the ref had a very good game tonight, actually. not at all the centre of attention, only a couple of bookings and let the game flow. Really good use of advantage, I thought. Called a couple of plays back when the advantage led to nothing...

Robert Madley - not really sure we have seen much of him at St. Andrews despite him reffing in the Prem before...

I'll give him this, for the most part he let the game flow, which was much better the see than some of the whistle happy ref's we've had before

Funny how we all see things differently.

I thought the ref missed a lot of fouls. How often was King fouled from behind when challenging for the ball. I think the ref gave one foul all night.

Inconsistent too, books Murphy (deserved) for a foul on the edge of the area but fails to book the Burnley player for a similar foul on Burke in a similar position near the end. Their No.20 should also have been booked for persistent fouling.

Very picky about free kicks also. He stopped blues taking a lot of quick free kicks.

Finally time wasting by their keeper. At least the ref against Peterborough booked the keeper for time wasting.

Overall I thought he was poor.
