So how many of you missed the start of the game at Blackpool? 3 turn styles and a lack of organisation, good money paid for 90 minutes of football not 70!!!! :kro:

I'm afraid that leaving it until 10 minutes before kick off to arrive at the ground is too late.

At that time, all the people who have been in the pub decide it's time to get to the match, and that's where the problem lies. People should finish their drinks earlier and get to the ground on time. After all, that's why they went in the first place.

How was it for you Mrs F?

Hello Des! **thumbup

I enjoyed the game. Thought both teams played fairly well & the draw was a fair result. Perfect result for me anyway! Was strange being in an away support though. Good atmosphere! Standing for 90 mins wtf?! Nearly killed us! :P

As you'll have seen me saying the only criticism I would have was the constant booing of Fergie. That's been covered in other threads but it was out of order in my opinion. I don't really get how it's "just the way". When players leave us and then end up back at Ibrox we welcome them & applaud them not boo them & shout obscenities at them. Bizarre to me!

Did your son enjoy it? I never met him!

Sorry Mrs F, I'm not chasing you on this **thumbup

this wouldn't be like booing your own player Kenny Millar when he signed from Celtic would it?

< < I believe you!

Bad example tim! Kenny Miller was originally a Rangers player who went to Celtic and then came back to Rangers again. Crossing the Old Firm divide! Plenty Gers fans booed him and didn't want him to come back to us. I personally was NOT one of them! I hate booing players & even when Rangers play rubbish I don't do it. Don't see how booing is SUPPORTING your team!

If Barry Ferguson had gone to Villa then I guess I could see the point in booing him etc. However I don't see that he merited all that on Saturday. I didn't really expect that despite some Blues fans warning me it'd likely happen.

Barry was sold.

He didn't ASK to leave, he didn't put in a transfer request.

Some club actually offered Blues some money, at a time when we didn't know if we were going to survive or not.

Barry's fee (£750k) may not be world-shattering, but it helped pay wages for a month or so. His own wages went off the monthly bill.
He is still a class player whether he went to Motherwell or Middlesborough.

Boo-ing is banter, ok, but continual boo-ing is just sheep-like behaviour.

Would those sheep have booed 'Super-Kev' if he played?

Will they boo either of them in a few weeks on the return match ?
On New Year's Eve?

Beyond an opening salvo of boos - as banter, Barry did not deserve any more.

Of course I wasn't for one second saying you would be party to any of that business **thumbup

I wouldn't say it was bad example though... as its precisely what you said doesn't happen at Ibrox (and everywhere else for that matter), when we all know it does.

But as you rightly say, booing is not supporting your team... but booing the opposition players is supporting your team.

It was probably all the moaning a whining he used to do for us that got under the Blue's fans noses :)

Besides it wasn't that bad, it wasn't over the top. Yes it was more persistent in the 2nd half but even then... he was still playing for the other team... how is this bit seemingly not relevant in this case?

I'd bet you five quid he get the same in a months time... appreciation prior, stick during.

You missed my point tim! Kenny Miller was booed by (some) Rangers fans because he went to Celtic and then came back to us. Celtic are our biggest rivals. Like I said if Ferguson had gone to Villa fair enough boo him. Blackpool are not your rivals!

When other players come back to Ibrox that haven't crossed the Old Firm divide in general they don't get booed. Most recently Charlie Adam & Danny Wilson were here a few weeks back when we beat Liverpool & they got a warm welcome.

I take your point re booing. I wouldn't class it as supporting my team booing the opposition although I can understand why you would think that. To be honest I expected the Blues fans not really to do anything re Fergie, just kind of ignore him. I know better now! Kinda glad I'm not going to make the home game on Hogmanay, no doubt it'll be ten times worse then! < <

Anyone who knows Fergie knows moaning & whinging is one of the things he does best. He used to being captain & just wants the best for his team. Nothing wrong with that!

Lol it's not relevant because he is above booing/abuse! :P Joke! I totally disagree that it wasn't that bad & ott but we'll just have to agree to disagree. Like I said elsewhere he's had a lot worse. Just sad there seemed to be no appreciation or recognition for anything he did for Blues.

We were in the Dutton Arms on the sea front. We left for the ground at 2pm, but the wind was so strong it took us 40 mins to walk 100 yards....
Missed 1st 5 mins and got soaked in the queue.
Well worth it, great day out as usual!
Braga here we come.

Fair play Mrs F.

Just for the record... I never on Saturday and never have boo'd players past and present at any Blues match.

In fact I walked out of the ground when SB and Terry Cooper were being roundly abused by the majority.

That doesn't mean I didn't agree with the sentiment. **thumbup

At St Andrews 10mins before kickoff is well enough time to get to your seat and there is no wauning that you need to turn up early.

I turn up 10 minutes before just about every game home and away that I've been to. Never had a problem fortunately.
