14 shots on target and only two goals is still worrying, but a win is a win, and it's been a long time coming.

Long time ???

It's been just over two weeks

Let's not go overboard

Since we won against Burnley on Nov 22nd we went to Blackpool and earned a point

Braga (Europa League not Championship) , Cardiff and Hull were all away and all tough fixtures.....and we deserved something from all three of them

Keep the faith

We can start another run here

Next 6 league fixtures

Palace (a)
West Ham (h)
Blackpool (h)
Peterborough (a)
Ipswich (h)
Millwall (a)

We can get quite a few points here as long as we start turning the domination into goals

Quite agree with you all fronts here, parti (which is worrying believe me) Dopey mistakes and a poor conversion rate have cost us big time over the last couple of months. I still think we're in the running but we need to tweak one or two departments. I wish young Jordon a swift return and look forward to seeing him in action soon.

Maybe someone should tell his missus;after all they may end up with a bunch of robots to support.

There's a lot of faint-hearted supporters on here. I'm glad the team didn't give up like some of our supporters did.

The problem as I see it is finding a good partner for King. King had a few disappointing games but he's still our best striker.

Wood is our top scorer and is the best option at the moment to partner King but he offers very little apart from his goals which seem to have dried up somewhat.

The less said about Zigic the better. Rooney is a difficult one and in my opinion deserves more of a run in the first team.

Jervis and Asante seem a long way from the first team so it would be great if we could get rid of Zigic and bring in two more mobile strikers to compete up front.

Listening on Blues Player, it sounded to me like N'Daw had a great game.

Would like to see more of him.

He had an absolute stormer, battling away for a good 68 minutes he was, won plenty in the air and put in a few brilliant strong tackles aswell as having a few shots on goal.

Agreed, Built Like A Tank, Tidy Passer (Some Good Cross-Field Balls), Doesn't Bottle Tackles, Challenged For Every Header. Overall, Great Display And Was Unlucky With His Injury. Really Beginning To Like Him. :applause:

I was shocked/chuffed to see his name in the starting XI, and as I expected, he delivered... I'd come to the conclusion that Chrissy would never start him in a Championship fixture, but now that he finally has I hope he allows him to have an extended run of matches. Well done, Guirane!

Sometimes you are on the ball fella, sometimes you wind people up.

Why ?

West Ham got bloodied. 3-0
Southampton taken 1 point in the last 6

I did a thread about this last month or so like. Or was it a post? About the coming to an end of runaways...well, not runaways, just stabilised clubs competing with half a league of re-vamped and 50% new players. [ 85% new players in our case]

Keep your faith pooleyman

(I'm not gay - that's just a fella hug **thumbup )

sorry mate but that went completley over my head - apart from the on the ball thing but I like to thik im always on the ball.

With only middlesborough winning out of the top 6 (i think?) teams in the league this win today is big big big for us! not only did we get 3 points but other results went for us

What a buffoon!

"They didn't look like scoring"

Our 14 on target to their 2 on target
Our 12 corners to their 2
Our 58% possession to their 42%.

The stats speak for themselves Mr. Saunders.

What was he doing? On his iPhone playing Angry Birds for the whole game or what?

Just saw the goals

Was King's first goal a mis-hit or did it take a deflection on the way in ??

Hard to tell from the TV angle

I'm sure anyone on the GM or Kop / Main Stand nearer to that goalmouth could maybe answer

They all count though ......well except if you're Ajax I suppose :silence:
