I think you deserve a reply mate! Anyway, i was a bit perplexed as to why he wasn't in the 16 but someone said to me he's probably been taken out of the firing line and will be raring to go on Thursday? His form has dipped recently so it might be a bit of good management.

Thanks,

This is what I was thinking, but there has been no mention, injury or whatever??? I think if we wanted to sell him he would be in the shop window, not in the cupboard?

Atleast Hughton seems willing to change things when he thinks they aren't working so well anymore.

I don't believe for a second all this talk about players being rested for the transfer window, I think Hughton would play who ever he wants.

Perhaps our manager has become a little impatient with overweight and overpaid footballers? Let's hope so!

Thank god you are not our manager! Your willing to sell beau who up until 5-6 games ago was our best player in most of our games this year! He has played the most football out of them all this year and is obviously jaded and fatigued! I suppose when rooney didn't score for 8 games untied fans where begging for him to be sold because he was useless!

Add that to the fact you want the club who has no/limited money to spend to buy another CM to add to Fahey, spector, gomis, mutch, elliott, N'daw. Ok you may not feel any of them are good enough but the fact is if you loose a LM then in our situation you replace him with a LM not a player who plays in a position we are heavily filled! Say we loose beau and we buy a cm play redmond and burke and one gets injured who you willing to play then!

According to reports today he's just been rested as he looked jaded. He'll be back in contention for Thursday's game apparently.

In your opinion he's our best player, to me he is a very average player, who was part of a poor team assembled by Alex McLeish and got us relegated, notice knowone wanted him in the summer..............
I'm happy to sell him, might also help to stave off admin.

Fully agree he has been one of our best players this season, behind Burke and Carr i'd say, He didn't get us relegated alone Carr, Davies, Ridgewell, Fahey, Zigic also got us relegated.

Jordon Mutch will be back on corners when he's back, remember him whipping a good one in first game of the season for Curtis to score at Derby.

As for Beausejour, he's been one of our best players this year up until the past 4 or 5 games before his little rest, how quickly some fans turn eh. Also scored some important goals aswell.

Factor in the guy has played/trained non stop since before last years World Cup... he had the Mexican league, straight into the World Cup for Chile, then moved here on deadline day after playing a bit in Mexico again, come into our team and played for us last season, then there was a Copa America he participated in the summer just gone, before gearing up for another season with us in the Championship this.

Just needs a good rest

I'd just be interested in which player(s) those who say Beausejour is 'rubbish' would buy to replace him, were he to leave in January.

Say Hughton gets £1million to play with from the sale, who is he supposed to bring in? And for pity's sake, don't say Redmond because it will mark you out as a buffoon.

Few points....

McLeish never used him to his best ability, where he was a winger or attacking midfielder.

McLeish hardly ever played him in fact. He looked very good vs WHU in the semis.

Been widely reported that Wigan wanted him and me might have rejected a bid.

Mutch is quality young CM, on his way back from injury. Also, N'Daw seems to be coming into his own and making a stave for the position.

He started the season like a house on fire but his form has gone downhill rather rapidly, and rightly so has been dropped. CH knows the players best and if he looks jaded then this rest will be the best thing for him, be nice to see him and Redmond out wide for the game on Thursday

Let's hope he is just jaded and not injured as we need all the players we have over christmas, and that he's good performances become a little less sporadic when back to full sharpness!

This forum always amazes me how any form of opinion that isn't the "mainstream" is so severely frowned upon. I happen to think Beau is a very average player, I rarely if ever agreed with his man of the match accolades and think his dead ball service is shocking to say the least.

However, he has had a couple of excellent halves here and there, has the ability to "pull something out of the bag" now and again and I have always given him my full backing. Now my thoughts are my just my opinion, they are neither right or wrong, just my opinion!!
