Lets all remember he is just 17 years old but What a performance from the youngster tonight.

Looked dangerous every time he had the ball and was unlucky not to score.

We have a player on our hands... But its how CY see's it that is the problem

How often do we now see wingers who run at defenders and who are prepared to take them on?

Reminded me of a certain Jose Dominguez. Even better that he's homegrown and one of us. Just hope he doesn't fade away, which seems to happen to a lot of young talent.

Definately MOM :applause:

As i said in another post, Europa has been a blessing. It's allowed this Redmond to play his game against generally quality opposition without the pressure the league places on players to get results. I couldn't make the game due to the distance but the commentators were calling it the Redmond show all match! Peter Reid and the other commentators couldn't speak highly enough of him.

A LOT of talk about him on twitter atm, Bolton fans, Norwich fans, baggies fans etc etc

We all need to keep quiet about him and he needs to play rubbish when we're on tv!! ;)

He's looked a world beater against Nacional and Maribor.

Coincidentally the worst teams we have played this season. So although he is showing promising signs of growing into a top player, lets not get carried away and let Christ get on with developing him.

I think we will get an offer in January (5 to 7) million that the owners will not refuse :(

£3 million would probably do it sadly.

I don't think Nathan will go...well, if he did the owners would have a riot on their hands. He is the most exciting thing down at St Andrews since Dominguez.

There was a rumour going around a few weeks back that we had already agreed a fee for him in Jan.

Dont think it was or is true, but it does beg the question. A team like QPR with more money than sense could easily tempt him and try to get him in before he does fulfill his potential.

Its sad to say but this is the game that people have taken note of him. Although he hasnt set the world alight yet, he is bound to have lit a few sparks in the Premiership.

seriously though, the difficult work starts now.. teams are well aware of him and what he can do and the owners must be relishing the fact that we have a very saleable commodity on the books.. the lad's a footballer and wants to play football so Hughton will need to balance his development with his expectations to play..

for a 17yo he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and speaks of doing well at Blues but it wouldn't take much to turn his head at this age.. at the moment he might be loyal to the club that has nurtured him and given his talent the platform it deserves but another club - perhaps in the Prem - who will offer him greater development and, more importantly for Redmond, match time might just be too big lure for him and who could blame the lad.

now more than ever we need a bit of stability at the club but i can't see that coming any day soon.. the likes of Mutch, Butland and Redmond are key to our future success - the problem is, they're all assets to our desperate and clueless owner!

think if its match time he is after - he will get more here

I do not think for a second he is ready to play premier league week in and out

Great prospect and i agree

I really hope MUTCH BUTLAND REDMOND are not sold , I fear though whoever we get a decent bid for will be

If Redmond, or anybody else that is young and exciting and on our books, is sold then I think the protests will well and truly start. I can't quite believe they haven't already, but it's only a matter of time now.

The talent both Redmond and Burke have is the ability to run at defenders - they are frightened to death when a player does that - they are not used to it - they normaly are told to stand back off an attacker..the problem we have with redmond is 1. no left foot...and 2. if he were toplay in the championship it wouldnt take long for opposition to sus that they need to mark him out of the game....they will just double up on him and he will be sterile.

Doubling up on one player means there is more space for another. This is one of the advantages of brining on Zigic against a tiring defence, they panic and double up, leaving space for the other striker

The lad is rubbish it was a one off game where he played well ( )

No I dont believe it really but I would rather other clubs kept their clammy claws to themselves.

It was a great night for the lad really wish his shot hadnt hit the post because it would have been a blinding goal to finish off a superb performance.

In days gone by the rule was if a player went in hard on a youngster then they get one back. If I was Hughton I would have bawled the lads out for letting that one go.
There left back should have had his trainer on and not because of cramp due to Nathan running his legs off.

He does need minding so message to the lads whoever whacks Nathan gets "WHACKED".
