I wouldn't think so, but there's no harm in proposing it.

If Ridgey is sold this month, we'll obviously need to look for cover at left-back (that is unless CH views Hancox as presently capable, or is comfortable with N'Daw or Spector as cover).

Ridgewell is worth much more than Wood...

I've sai it before and I'll say it again, Wood is not good enough to play regularly, he had a good run of goal scoring for us but interms of overall play he contributes nothing...

I don't think we would be able to swap ridge for wood mainly because we need money.

if i was at west brom i would think i was hard done by from this deal. wood is younger, a goalscoring striker (who are usually worth a lot more than left backs) he shows more potential and whilst yes he hasn't been playing well recently he has scored goals this year and west brom will take that into account. we would have to offer money plus ridge to do a deal and we can't afford to pay money an lose an asset. we would be better taking our £1-4 million for ridge so we can keep more important players, get some much needed money in and try extend woods loan

Ridgewell is old so he is worth LESS money.
Wood is young and is worth MORE money.

Nothing to do with your debate just letting you know.

I wouldn't swap Ridgewell for Wood, Ridgewell is a proven premiership player, Wood has had a good spell in the Championship and that is all. He hasn't even had a crac at the premiership yet.

albion dont need a left back anyway. reid is quite good although he is injured at the moment and billy jones is getting rave reports from everyone he plays against.however we may need to bring chris wood back because of injuries.

Ridgewell will go where to no one knows, as for the Wood as part of the deal, no I don't believe Wood has the tools to be a decent front line player for where we want to be. His all round game is not very good and most important in forward players his first touch is terrible

Goals are great but he hasn't scored in 14 now and without scoring he doesn't offer anything else to the team.

Chris Wood reminds me very much of a young, raw player I watched at Blues many moons ago. People then said that he wouldn't make the grade. The player's name? Bob Latchford

Chris Wood has all the potential to go on to be a very good player, but I fear it will be at Albion, not Blues.

Let him go! Murphy's a much more competent full-back and don't even get me started on Ridge at CB...

Ridgewell for cash + Wood?

If that happens then 2012 will be off to a very good start! ;)

Not a bad deal. What players at WBA should we be looking at.

Id imagine of the ones they would be open to letting go :

Gonzalo Jara
Marc-Antoine Fortune
George Thorne
Simon Cox
Joe Mattock

Cox would be a great signing
