According to Andy Walker he was feeling under the weather so I doubt that it was anything serious. He should get over it by Milwall I imagine. |

Yep, Hughton confirmed that he was substituted because he was taken ill at half time. Also said they would have to wait to see if he would recover in time to play on Saturday. |

I thought he may have had an arm injury after pulling it away when he got in position to save their goal!!!!! :ph43r: |

He was not 100% prior to the game and was physically sick in the changing rooms at half time, therefore he was replaced by Doyle. |

Maulley, you needed to see the goal to know , I can not ever remember Blues giving away a softer goal. Their keeper was back peddling and in trouble, King rather than put him under pressure stood and alowed him to hack it out wide, their player picked it up on the touch line , davies and Caldwell parted like the red see to allow him a free run at goal , by the time Caldwell had realised and run to make a challenge, the player was 20yds away and hit a shot hard but dead centre of the goal , Myhill had it covered and inexplicably took his hand away.............. I have been a ST holder for over 30 years (And seen loads of rpoey teams and goals conceeded) But from start to finish, last nights was as bad as it got!!!!! PS away from this Myhill is doing very well . |

Where were you sitting?! It was nowhere near dead centre of the goal, and even if it was Myhill was at his left hand post, the correct position to be in when the player is on their right wing. The ball swung away from Myhill who definitely didn't pull his arm away. I was sat in Block 8 right behind the goal and in line with the shot itself. |

Yeah.got to defend Myhill here.was right behind it and sometimes you have to put your hands up and say "unbelieveable strike" - he was down on his hands and knees for a good while after, and i genuinely thought he was going to chuck his ring up right there and then in the 6 yard box! Still.none of this matters now does it? Crucial 3 points.KRO |

he didnt seem at the races yesterday. when they scored he held his head and as another poster pointed out dropped to his knees...i first thought he has had a clanger and is dissapointed but he kept clutching his head so i guess that he possibly had migrane problems and the flood lights may not of helped! |

That Ipswich goal by Martin was one of the goals of the season No keeper in the world (even Hart) would have stopped that How anyone can blame Myhill is a joke ??.......but then it kind of underlines the notion that even some people at the game may not be watching the same game as the rest of us  |

I was sitting in the Kop and it was a terrific strike and I doubt any keeper could have saved it. It wasn't Myhill at fault but our defence especially the two central defenders who just left a massive gap for Martin to run into. A very poor goal to concede but give credit to Martin for the way he took his goal. |

Some of the worst defending of the season would prevent it being goal of the season. And while Myhill was not to blame hart was a completely different class of player and may have saved that |

Please ALL read what I have put , I sit in block 7 and was right behind the shot , which was basically central. A lot happened before the shot King, Gomis, Caldwell, Davies and Myhill all played a part in a really poor goal to conceed. If you look at my posts I constantly support our players, we let in a stupid goal, so people are to blame , this is a forum, what I said about Myhill was that he got in a position to save the shot, which was hard but very savable and some how pulled his hand away. Everyone around me agreed that he should have saved it, but it is just one of those things, it may have been to do with his illness, he did drop to his knees straight afterwards. I have got over it , Caldwell has been my player of the season so far, but he was also at fault, it was a poor goal to let in and for whatever reason , Myhill had his part to play , that is all I am saying. LEts move on.............. |

I have watched the replay several times and his hand does move away for some reason otherwise I think he would have saved it but that has been a weakness this season that sides have noticed. |

Let's take away Seb Larsson's goal of the season against Sheffield Wednesday in 2007 because all of the Wednesday defenders stood off him as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eugk3eorig Jeeze ! Blues fans are hard to please these days aren't they ? Why not just bite our lips and give Martin of Ipswich credit for a super goal.....we still won the game on Wednesday night after all :boohoo: |

In the same sense that I don't blame marlon for not scoring when he hit the post, because it was a difficult chance but I'd think theres a blooming good chance Rooney would have bagged it for Utd. Different quality of player. Larssons shot was unsavable. Get me? |

Not really Take a good look at that Larsson goal from 2007 and Martin's goal on Wednesday was very similar But in the same sense the defenders eased off them both too easily and that Sheffield Wednesday keeper was very slow to react to the Seb shot which also came in from a tighter angle So, sorry to disagree but Larsson's shot was without doubt an easier save to make than Myhill from Martin's effort Martin hit that ball with tremendous pace and swerve......super goal, one of the best I've seen this season in all competitions :applause: Get me ? |

However, being stood right behind it, while it swerved and was a superb strike and the defence parting like the red sea was to blame and not the keeper, it was by no means unsavable as it was easily within grasp, and a world class keeper like Hart might have gotten to it, now from memory Larsson's strike was out of reach and barely within the frame of the goal. Now, no need to get sarcastic. |

ps. these messages were sent under the thought that you were referring to Larsson's strike away to Tottenham. I now see that you were not and for that I retract the statement it was unsavable. |

It was Gomis/Fahey's fault for me, no way should he have been allowed to run into the center of the park unmarked, if N'Daw was there, he would have put a foot in. |
