Along with most of the other players Fahey didn't have his best night but he was instrumental in everything useful we did including a lovely cross from which Zigic really should have scored. His improvement shouldn't pass unnoticed given the flak he's taken on this forum. |

I don't think he has improved, he is just doing what he's been doing all season , keeping Blues moving , apart from maybe Mutch , he is the only blues player capable of doing this , he is and always as been a very good player at this level and integeral to our team pattern. The run to the by-line proved in one move what some of us have been saying, how many times have we got to the by-line this year and not picked out the right pass. Fahey got there AND LOOKED UP, picked out a player in space who should have scored. No othere blues player, including Burke, has been able to do that this year. Near the end of the game last night, did anyone notice Fahey calming everyone down, the blike behind me was going made, "get him off, hurry up". He was doing it at the throw in that led to the winner. Fahey isn't an N'Daw run around tackle type, but what he has brought to our team ALL SEASON, that no one else does, is calmness and a pass to a Blue shirt , I rate him highly and his contribution this year along with Caldwel and Davies and maybe Burke has been the most influential. |

I can't say I have ever liked him but last night he was one of the more composed players on the team. The only gripe I would have is that he's not the quickest which makes going forward a tad hard which, I guess, is why some many passes go sideways. But the cross was a great pass and really should have ended up in the net. But on the whole, yeah well done Fahey. |

Fahey is fine, the weak link in that team is Spector he is truly horrendous, the sooner Carr is back the better |

Thought Keith had a great game last night. And he does have a change of pace, i've seen it. For me, Gomis didn't do enough last night, Keith carried him a little bit and stood up and became the senior figure. I thought he was very composed throughout the game. |

I notice you've been absent from the Zigic thread today lowds! If you were there last night then there is no way you could criticise the big man. |

Fahey is a tremendous asset to the side, best passer at the club by a mile good composure and brilliant temperament, CH picks him every week which must mean something! KRO |

Should have been a second to Zigic in the motm stakes, did a good job like he has been doing all year, along with Elliot he is the best footballer/passer we have and the stick he was getting was totally unjustified. Happy that more and more people have started to see what he brings to our side! |

Fahey looks great next to Ndaw, who does his dirty work for him, but to be fair he did well for most of the game last night, bossed the first 20 mins until their goal gave them a bit of confidence. I was very critical of him earlier in the season and am delighted that he has now found a streak of form for the last 5 games or so. |

Fahey has been our best player (along with Ndaw) last 4-5 games. Drives me mad how how the fans are still giving him stick when he mis places one ball or loses out on a header. More worrying for me, is burke's dip in form. Hasnt been the same player lately, think it may be due to carr's absence. |

Again my man of the match, he should have won it last night. Keeps things ticking over and has formed an excellent partnership with N'Daw. Who would have thought it eh |

lad who sits behind me in main stand constantly slags fahey.everything that goes wrong is he's fault.well last night he turned up with what i can presume was he's older brother got it in stereo.at one point think they were blaming fahey for hughton replacing gomis with mutch.everyone has an opinion but some of the stick fahey has been given lately has been nothing short of shamefull and fair play to keith he just got on with doing he's job. |

No,no,no.......once Steve Carr is back he'll move Spector back to Centre Mid and forget about N'daw,Gomis and Mutch....................Don't think he won't,that was what he chose when we wwas loosing every week. |

Once Carr's back then it'll be Spector into centre mid, until N'Daw comes back from the African Cup of Nations. Once the tanks back, Spector's on the bench. As for Fahey, he's always had the talent, he's just been destroyed by two things : 1. Being shunted out left wing for so long under Mc you know what 2. Being hammered by fans left right and centre When he plays in the middle alongside anyone but N'Daw, he's had to do more than one job as the likes of Spector/Gomis have really failed to convince in the middle in league games ive thought...and he's not played much with Mutch...whereas N'Daw can be relied on to do all of the dirty work, giving Keith more freedom. Last night I thought Gomis wasnt was poor, and didnt really want to sit and do the dirty work infront of the back four, so Keith adapted his game to deal with that... he had to judge when Gomis would go forward and do a job for the TEAM which he done very well I thought. At times he took responsibility to get forward himself, forcing Gomis to stay back, which is what id like to see more of alongside anyone else but N'Daw...he can be a creative player for us, he can pick a pass, I just want him to get confident and try things going forwards for us, but the famous St Andrews Groan always comes out if he messes up and they then hammer him, which means any built up confidence gets smashed to bits. |

I just watched the brief highlights on the BBC and the commentator said that the cross for Zigic was actually from Kevin Fahey. |

I watched those brief highlights. As I wasn't at the match last night I don't feel in a position to comment on Fahey's performance. However, from what I did see, I thought he was at fault when their lad cut in from the right wing before scoring - watch it again, far too casual, he's just jogging & makes absolutely no effort to put in a challenge hoping somebody else will. Their penalty appeal, which really should've been given, was down to him too. Shocking touch outside the area which gave them the ball. As I say, I can't comment on the other 89 minutes & maybe they were the only two mistakes he made all night.... |

Gomis is too slow of thought. As soon as CH is confident that Mutch is 100% match fit and sharp he will replace him |

I thought Caldwell was more at fault for the goal as he elected to follow the lad who had peeled off to the right rather than go where the danger was allowing Martin to come in and shoot. |

I have always not been keen on Fahey due to his defensive frailties...and watching the Beeb highlights on their website I notice that Fahey gave the ball away on the edge of our area which led to their "penalty". I also noticed their goalscorer came through a gaping hole where Fahey should have been. There is no questioning his attacking approach, that run and cross in the 2nd half was tops...just a pity Zigic cocked the header up (again). |
